Aiden stormed out of the house and Collin went after him but, he had gotten into his SUV and left. Katie sighed and stood. "Thank you allowing me to care for him, Mrs. Lawrence."

"E-Emily, is fine... may I call you Katie?" Emily asked.

"Yes." She smiled sadly. "I should be going."

"H-how long are you in town for?" Emily asked. Katie knew it wasn't because she liked her and wanted to get to know her better. She felt threatened by her.

"I have a two year contract with Harvard and I'm already in my second year with Cambridge. After that my offices here should be established and I will move on to the next location." She admitted.

"Oh! Well... maybe, once Aiden calms down, you can come over for dinner. I'm sure Gennie would love to see you again." She offered politely but Katie knew it wasn't genuine.
