A month later, on a Saturday afternoon, Katie sat in front of her computer working. After the debacle with CPS, the revelations about Chad's father and uncle in connection to Pierce Newton, and the Callum siblings desire to cart her off to some safe house where she would be 'with family' if Emilia got the case reopened, she decided it would be best if she laid low for awhile. She forewent her weekly errand day with Chad in exchange for automatic billing and use of online markets like, Thrive, Misfit Market, and Butcher Box. As a result, Chad decided he could make do with text check ins everyday, since she no longer went out shopping. She only did it because didn't want to interfere with Chad's time with Amanda and her family. If she needed anything that she couldn't get from online shopping, she sent Chad a list and he, would drop it off when he brought in her other deliveries during work hours.
