POWER UNLEASHED 1

Golden city, one of the biggest city in Nigeria.

Known for its well furnished houses, museums, entertainment centers like the cinemas and so on, and the schools located there.

The schools there were mainly Golden city's pride and joy. There were about five top class college present. Their performance and everything, won the hearts of everyone around Nigeria.

The five top class college, wasn't the only school present at Golden city. There was an old school, which has been there for so many years.

THE GOLDEN CASTLE.

Golden city's name was derived from this college, which is actually a big golden castle.

But everything beautiful about the college was gone.

Now, the castle was no more golden like before.

It's beauty was fading.

Students hardly came to school there, because of the history of the castle.

It is said that when the castle was filled up with students, darkness came upon the school, in form of demons, and frighten everyone present there.

This has been the rumours going on about the school for years.

So no one wanted their children to school there.

As faith may have it, the golden castle began to bubble up a little, as the head mistress of the college MADAM ELIZABETH, was able to win the hearts of some parents.

The few students In the school had proven how smart and intelligent they were at a competition.

Living other schools shocked.

Her effort began to pay off, as the new session began with new faces, arriving at the college.

Madam Elizabeth walked out of her office, which was at the second to the last floor of the castle.

She stood in front of the balcony, watching the new students arriving from their various destinations.

She took in a deep breathe, then out, as she smiled and began to praise herself, "Excellent job Elizabeth. You have done what other head masters and head mistresses of this castle couldn't do. Good job".

She was so proud of herself.

She was busy watching all the students, when one of the teachers, a man, walked up to her and greeted her.

She waved her hand without looking at him.

Her eyes were on her success and pride.

The teacher then cleared his throat and said,feeling nervous, "We thank God for the success he granted into us.

But... Forgive me for saying this madam Elizabeth, what if the students fill up the castle, and... and history repeats itself like before.

What are we going to..... "

"What rubbish history?! ", she sparked, looking at the teacher in annoyance.

Then, an elderly woman was cleaning up the floor, where the both of them were talking. She was listening to them.

Madam Elizabeth pointed her finger at the teacher and said, furiously, "History..., Will never repeat itself.

What rubbish history anyway?

That false story about darkness, demons, blab blab blab. Falling upon the school.

All that is rubbish to scare the students away for good".

The cleaner moved closer as she kept on cleaning.

Madam Elizabeth took the teachers attention, towards the students arriving, and said, "What you're seeing now is the brand new history.

After so many years, let's say one hundred years, I madam Elizabeth, has restored the lost glory of this castle.

I made it possible.

And soon.. ", she folds her arms with pride, "...I'll leave the other schools shocked".

The teacher couldn't say a word.

She noticed the silence from the teacher and wanted to ask him if he was stunned by her words.

That's when her eyes met with the cleaner's own.

Immediately the old lady saw her eyes, she turned her face.

"Excuse me you cleaner.

Where you ease dropping on our conversation? "

"No Madam, I was...".

"Quiet! ", Madam Elizabeth shouted.

She ordered the old lady to leave or face her wrath for ease dropping.

Quickly, the cleaner left.

"Unbelievable! ", she said.

She then faced the teacher, and sent him to meet the other staffs.

"Take note of the number of new students present".

"Yes madam", he said and turned to leave.

Madam Elizabeth smiled and thought to herself, "If I'm able to get Two hundred students today, then I'll rub it on those cockroaches that said I can't make it".

Few minutes later, the school was filled up, because more students from different part of Nigeria where still arriving.

A bus stopped at the entrance of the castle gate.

The conductor came down first, and asked the young lady sitting inside to come down.

"Oya come down fast! ".

"I'm coming wait. Don't shout",she said, stepping down from the bus.

The girl got down with her luggage.

She looked at the castle and exclaimed happily, "Oh my creativity!

It's huge".

"Driver dey go", the conductor said, as he climbed the bus.

As soon as he said that, the girl quickly shouted, "Hey!, what of my change? ".

"Which change?!

Abeg dey go", he sparked.

She gasped and said, "Oh my creativity!

You're asking me such a stupid question?

I gave you my money and asked for change, but you said when I get to my destination you'll give me.

Now give me my change or I'll change it for you".

"Give her her change conductor ", the people inside the bus began to shout on his head.

Annoyed, he counted the money and dropped it on her palm roughly.

She smiled and said, "Thank you"

"Your mates dey enter better school, so that they'll live long. You dey enter ancestral kingdom so that you go die fast.

Abeg driver dey go ".

"What?! ", she exclaimed shockingly at what the conductor said.

Before she could even fire back, the bus had gone.

"Who does he think he is?

Foolish conductor.

He's the one that will enter inside ancestral kingdom not me", she said angrily, while picking up her luggage.

Just then, she heard her name from behind.

"Blessing!! ", a voice screamed.

The girl, who is now revealed as Blessing, turned back, and saw a friend of hers.

The young lady walked up to her and embraced her tightly.

"I can't believe you're here! ", she said, squeezing Blessing tight.

"Aunty Onome, I'm so happy to see you".

"Me too.

Come on let's go.

I'll take your luggage for you", she said, helping Blessing with her luggage.

They entered inside the castle, while gisting on the way.

On the other hand, there were three friends, sitting outside on a bench, which was located at the castle's field.

Ganiyat, Christiana and Abigail.

The three of them had come together from their place.

"This castle is so dull.

I wonder why we were forced to come here", Abigail said, looking at all the dull parts of the castle.

Christiana then said, "What could we have done?

My grandfather told my Father to send me here.

And why?

He said its the best school, because after so many years, the school finally won people's heart.

I wanted to ask him this question.

If it was the best, why didn't he send my father to the school? ".

"Hmm, that's when you would see grandpa in action. When he wipes your head with his stick, you'll forget about the question", Ganiyat said, as the three of them laughed.

"I just can't wait to get over with this", Christiana said, looking at the castle.

Meanwhile, the cleaner, who was ease dropping on Madam Elizabeth, began to move round with a box filled with shining crystal stones.

She was selling it.

This became weird as the students saw it as a stupid thing to do.

"Get your crystals. Colourful crystals. And be just like the Alphas", she said with a smile.

On a bench, close to the entrance of the castle, sat two girls, Adeola and Ifeoluwa. Shortly ife.

They were both just sitting down and looking round, when the old lady came close to them and asked if they wanted to buy.

But they had both refused, because their minds weren't there at the moment.

The old lady walked away, and continued to ask students if they wanted to buy.

Adeola, who was busy drawing out some lovely designs, called Ife's attention.

Ife looked at her.

"Tell me, how does this design look?

Imagine you were putting on this type of cloth.

Won't it be amazing? ", Adeola asked, showing the designs from page to page.

"Nice designs.

It sure would look nice on me, if I was putting it on for real", Ife said, looking happy.

They were both busy looking at the designs, when a teacher passed them, with a new student following from behind.

"You will find the chemistry lab at the first floor of the castle.

The physics lab and Biology lab are downstairs ", the teacher said to the new student.

"Why put the chemistry lab up and leave the other two downstairs?", the girl asked.

The teacher kept on walking and said, "As a science teacher, I'll say that it's because of our safety from chemicals".

"Safety from chemicals?

Sounds stupid.

And yes, how complete are the labs?

Are the equipments complete or.... ".

Out of frustration, the teacher groaned and turned to face the student.

He smiles and asked, "What's that your name again? ".

"Gracious is my name", she said with a smile.

"Gracious!

Okay, Do me a favour.

After the orientation, which is coming up after three days of the registration, Pls.... Go and ask the head mistress. Thank you".

The teacher quickly turns to walk away. But Gracious doesn't leave him.

"Wait sir!

I still have more questions to ask".

The teacher doesn't wait.

Instead, he increased his speed and began to walk faster than before.

In the process of trying to catch up with him, Gracious bumps Into an old student.

"Hey!", she sparked.

"I'm sorry, so sorry ", Gracious apologized and continued to chase the teacher.

The girl became annoyed by this.

Her friends laughed because of this, and it made her even more furious.

"Shut up!", the girl shouted.

"Sorry Ella, it's your face that's making us to laugh", one of them said.

she frowned and said, looking at Gracious direction, "Some people don't have sense.

They walk into someone without apologizing normally".

Just as she was walking without looking, she bumped into a new student.

"Are you blind?! ", she sparked again.

The new student looks at her and said, "No I'm not, but I think you're the one that's blind".

"Excuse me! ", Ella gasped angrily.

Her friends became annoyed with the new student, and tried to stand up to her for speaking rudely to Ella.

"How dare you speak to her like that? ".

"Do you know who you're speaking to? ".

"No I don't, and I don't wish to know", the student said.

Furious, Ella said, "You'll..., You'll pay for this New girl.

Let's go guys".

Ella and her friends walked away angrily.

The new student sighed and said, "It's okay Treasure.

This is your first day at the Golden castle. Don't allow some set of apes to annoy you.

Just cool down".

Treasure, which is her name, took her luggage and began to walk into the castle.

"Let's see what's in store for me here", she said.
