This feeling over me, it's not the first time. If I were not me, my heart would've stopped upon sight. But it feels like I'm going to give up.

"Come here," I said.

He sits down on my right. His eyes, tired expression yet soft features.

"Yes?" He asks.

"I'm sorry, what's your name?"

"Jess," he replies.

That name, a rush of thoughts, sadness, and pain. My eyes soon fall into grief, I feel guilty. The only thing I said was "I'm sorry I can't seem to remember you", I wasn't sure if I had said it, but I felt that I broke something. I looked up to him, his face was in shock, I didn't want him to look down again. I have no words to say, I can't seem to get a grip on myself.

"It's okay Leroy, you tried," he responds. But now it looks like he shrouded himself in his mind, strong yet unstable, I would've looked at him if I had the courage, but the last thing I saw was his back.

Sooner or later my family came in. My parents rushed in at the door and my mother with open arms.

"My child, oh Leroy."

"Mom, wait I just woke up."

"Hey, where's Will?"

"Oh, he's sitting outside," she looked over and called out to him. But he was talking to someone else. "Well, he won't be heading over till he's done talking."

My father looks over me from my right and hands me a necklace.

"Here, Jess gave it to us when you were still … you know, um out."

"Thanks," I took a look and it was a single silver rose petal that had a print saying We will love till … and that's it. And an unfinished line.

William comes over to my left as my parents for breakfast.

"So… is your head alright?" says Will.

"Nothing big… well I don't know but amnesia," as I said this Will had a concerned face.

"Like, you don't remember the past kind of thing?"

"Yes."

"Um… okay, did you say hi to Jess?"

"Yeah, he came in when I woke up," when I looked up Will had his eyebrows up. "What?"

"Nothing."

"Hey weren't you just talking to Jess earlier?"

"You saw it."

"The door was open, who is he?"

"You have to figure it out, for all I know was that the accident involved you two."

"Why what'd he do?"

"I don't know, ask him."

"Then where is he?"

"I don't know, he might come back to stay with you for the night."

"Okay?"

A blaze of orange came over his room, and as he looked at the dismembered sky it seemed that today went by so quickly. Maybe because no one visited him. But then with the faint footsteps of another and the fast clock, dusk rose quicker than he thought. And there was a knock at the door.
