Chapter 10: Can You Fly?

Wu Hongwei lay there, clutching his large belly, and it took over a dozen trips to the restroom before he began to recover. If the alcohol hadn't been so weak, there was no way he'd still be sober.

After this incident, the way people looked at Su Han changed, and they no longer dared to underestimate him.

Although they all knew Su Han hadn't laid a hand on him, they still felt somewhat intimidated by him.

The atmosphere suddenly became a bit awkward.

Li Yang glanced at Wu Hongwei and frowned slightly, "Hongwei, are you okay? Shall we call it a day?"

He stealthily looked over at Su Han, who sat there contentedly, feeling a bit wary in his heart. He couldn't figure out Su Han, which made him very uncomfortable.

He was used to being in control of everything, but now there was someone in the room he just couldn't see through.

"No!" Wu Hongwei gasped for air, having barely regained his strength. He knew inside that Su Han had played him!

Although he couldn't bear it, he didn't have a shred of evidence. From beginning to end, Su Han hadn't even touched him. He let out a breath and squeezed out a smile, "It's rare for us all to gather today. How can we not enjoy ourselves to the fullest?"

As he spoke, he announced loudly, "We've drunk enough. Let's go sing. Yuman, you're the song goddess; you absolutely can't duck out!"

Wu Hongwei practically ground his teeth as he said this.

He said they had drunk enough, but in reality, aside from him, the others hadn't drunk much at all.

Seeing Wu Hongwei insisted on going to sing, since they were all a group who loved to have fun, naturally, they had no objections.

"It's too late, Yuman, let's go back," Su Han suddenly spoke up.

He glanced at the time; it was already nine o'clock at night. Going to sing now, who knew when they would stop playing. Continuing like this, Qiao Yushan would surely worry about her sister.

He stood up, intending to take Qiao Yuman away, but Wu Hongwei struggled to his feet, grabbed Qiao Yuman, and tried to stand in front of Su Han, yet he was also somewhat wary.

"Hey, if you don't like going, then go back by yourself. Yuman is here for my birthday; why are you meddling so much?" Wu Hongwei gnashed his teeth but didn't dare to move closer, watching Su Han warily.

Su Han ignored him, didn't even glance at Wu Hongwei, treating him as if he were just air, which made Wu Hongwei's face alternate between green and white. Being disregarded like this made him very annoyed.

"Yuman," Su Han called out.

Qiao Yuman's large eyes turned; she had also been wanting to go back, as it wasn't fun to hang around here anymore. Yet seeing Wu Hongwei seemed to hold a grudge against Su Han, her playful spirit seemed to rise again.

Curiosity towards Su Han grew in her heart, even looking forward to it. What other surprises could this jerk of a brother-in-law have for her?

"Since we're all here, of course, I should make sure Wu Hongwei has a good time. Birthdays come only once a year, after all. Let's go, off to sing!" Qiao Yuman's eyes narrowed, curling up like two crescent moons, extremely beautiful.

She looked at Su Han and said with a laugh, "Brother-in-law, if you want to go, then go ahead. I need to make sure my brothers and sisters have a good time."

"Did you hear that?" Wu Hongwei huffed, seeming to have finally recovered a bit of face, and called out repeatedly, "Let's go to the Dream Fantasy KTV in East City District. I've heard it's the highest-class KTV in East City District. Let me take you to experience it!"

Upon hearing they were going to such a high-end KTV, everyone cheered immediately. The girls even clung to Wu Hongwei's arms, eagerly crowding around.

"Young Master Wu, you're really great!"

"Exactly, Young Master Wu knows so many people. We can even go to such a high-class place. That's so awesome!"

Wu Hongwei tilted his head slightly, his face brimming with pride, somewhat carried away. He glanced at Su Han deliberately and said indifferently, "I know the manager of that Dream KTV. I'll have him give us a discount later, it's all trivial!"

He hummed proudly and gestured for the others to leave the bar.

Qiao Yuman followed them out and when she passed by Su Han, she slightly curled her lip, "Brother-in-law, maybe you should head back first. That place should be really safe. There's no need to worry about me."

She deliberately tilted her head and glanced at Su Han.

What could Su Han possibly say? Safe? How could that sort of place be considered safe? A bunch of kids drunk off their asses, it's only a matter of time before something happens.

"Let's go, I'll accompany you there. We'll play for a bit and head back, otherwise your sister will worry," Su Han said, somewhat helplessly, already seeing through his so-called "little sister-in-law's" intentional act.

A sly glint flashed in Qiao Yuman's eyes, and with her hands behind her back, she hummed like a seasoned adult, "Then you might as well take my car."

Su Han followed out and, without waiting for Qiao Yuman to get in the car, took the driver's seat himself: "You've been drinking, you can't drive, let me do it."

Qiao Yuman was taken aback, slightly indignant. Just as she was about to say something, she feared driving Su Han away. Wouldn't that mean she wouldn't see Wu Hongwei and the others teach Su Han a lesson?

How could that be alright? She needed to stand up for her sister!

She snorted and slipped into the passenger seat, looking at Su Han, "They drive really fast, don't fall behind."

The moment her words fell, several engines roared to life, and Wu Hongwei, along with Li Yang, sped past them, leaving behind a trail of arrogant laughter.

The taillights vanished in a blink of an eye, and Qiao Yuman became anxious, "See, I told you that you drive too slow, they're out of sight already!"

Without a word, Su Han continued to casually engage the clutch and gas pedals, shifting gears with one hand, while Qiao Yuman, on the verge of frustration, was about to unbuckle her seatbelt to replace him when suddenly she felt a strong push against her back!

Before she could even scream, the car, like an arrow released from its bow, shot forward!

"Roar—"

The engine bellowed like a wild beast, and the entire vehicle shook violently. Qiao Yuman watched as her car, turned into a beast of the night, raced crazily down the street, nearly scraping the walls along the road, causing her to cover her eyes involuntarily.

"Ah—!"

All along the way, Qiao Yushan's screams were the only sounds, "Slow down! Slow down, ah—!"

Su Han sat unmoved, with a calm expression, controlling the steering wheel with one hand and the gearshift with the other. His composed demeanor finally made Qiao Yuman realize why this jerk had said he drove quite steadily...

This driving was insanely reckless! Could cars even fly?

"Hmph, does that kid think he can catch up with us? Let's go to KTV, sing a couple of songs, and wait for them, haha!" Wu Hongwei, driving the car with Li Yang in the back, both burst into triumphant laughter.

Suddenly, like a streak of fiery red light, it flashed by, and in practically an instant, it whooshed past them, like a flash of lightning!

Wu Hongwei's drunkenness almost vanished from the scare, and he braked hard, nearly crashing into a tree by the roadside: "Was that... Qiao Yuman's car just now?"

He couldn't believe it, but seeing Li Yang's similarly incredulous look, he knew it had been Qiao Yuman's car, and that damn Su Han was the one driving!

Wu Hongwei clenched his teeth and his face was filled with resentment, "Bastard!"

That impoverished doctor, who couldn't even graduate from college, kept making him lose face time and again. He would settle this account properly with him later at KTV!
