1.ICY ❄️

In the dark night's shadow, a bloody looking figure with a child on it's back walked through the dark and grim looking forest of the northern realm, Frostfall forest. A place only those who have no regard for themselves would enter.

The pair looked haggered and worn, like their fire of life would die at any time but they continued on, like they had no way back.

"it's cold. "said the child in a low tone "I know little master, please hold on a little more." the one who carries him replied, trying to hold him closer to her body to give him more weamth.

'We've been walking for days now, I don't know how long I can hold on for but my young master must live. I can't give up now.' thought the bloodied figure as she kept walking and Stanbling through roots, mud and fallen leaves.

Haru, head handmaid and best friend of Lady Kai (mother of the child on her back) and last protector of the remainder of the Dracona family's blood. She has served her mistress and friend for many years now and never thought she would have to protect the life of her youngest son from deadly enemies. She was tired and the blood from her wounds keep flowing, turning her white uniform scarlet mixed a with a strong metalic taste in the air. Her deadly breath, the only thing keeping the lurking beasts at bay. Breathing heavily and getting colder by the minute, she gritted her teeth and kept walking forward through the Frostfall forest her step getting heavier and more difficult. She had to keep going, the young master must live on, for his mother, for his siblings and clans blood deapt.

"Young master, don't sleep. You must keep awake, please. Hold on for a little more time"

But the could only out a low hum. 'At least he replied' she thought. She has been running for days now and it's taken a toll on the poor boy. He's too young to be put through so much.

Later.

Haru had to put her youngest master down as he had not responded to her for a while, he had to check on him and try to keep him warm her ever cooling body. 'He can't die now, not when they've come so far.'

Tears running down her face, she puts the small white haired child onto her chest and sits on the ground under a tree. She had to restore her strength and keep moving forward, for her young master could hardly hold on anymore.

"haaaaaa. How far in can that pack be, at this rate... I.. I. no, I must stay sober and strong for the child. I must."

Haru kept saying words to herself as fought to stay conscious not knowing she was being watched.

The large brown wolf looked at the pair of supposed 'mother and child' from the shadows. It's orenge eyes staring at them for a while, it turned tail and headed for its pack at full speed.

'Frostfall pack'

" Beta James, the petroling wolves have sent back words. They have not spotted the third."

"Fuck! Haaaaaa... fine. He will come back when he's done with the temper tantrum."

"yes Beta James."

James turned towards the pack house, wondering why his brother was such a pain to deal with.

' I hope he doesn't cause any problems this time.'

Beta James entered the Alpha's office entending to let him know about the resent state of the pack.

The pack's Alpha sat behind his work table, head down looking through some paper work when he heard the door open. His beta, James walked into his office with a drained look on his face.

"let me guess, your brother is being a baby again" Alpha Raven said with a hint of a teasing smirk on his face.
