Chapter 63: Ava Olson
"It is a saying of the truth set free." He replied perfectly. I liked the way he picked his answers, it was as though the princess was testing his royalty. Anything could happen, he could be a spy, mate or no mate, this is reality. This is the war we are looking into, it could be planned and I could be a tool to end my race.
The fact was that everyone knows who the vampires are. They are very cunning, it was through this method that they defeated us in the war.
"Alpha Edward. I know you've found your mate and she's our own. Are you forced to do this because of a woman?"
Everyone laughed, even I was amused. What?.
"My mate's me. Anything I do is for us. She is part of the reason I'm here." He replied.
"Wow. I've seen my mother's match today." Elena muttered. "With so much love, this is the one for you. You're lucky to have such a hot, sexy Alpha as your mate." Diane mumbled and my eyes grew wide with pride. I looked at him and found him smiling at me, he definitely heard Diane say that, same with other werewolves there.
The witches had some abilities, we are given different gifts and one of mine is a hearing ability. Some had it also and there are some who don't. But the royals, they have all gifts, because they are powerful.
"Alpha Edward…" The princess started but stopped and looked at me, I waited to hear her next word, "Agreed. The agreement document please." A smile went across my face immediately and I hugged Elena, then Diane. "Congratulations big girl." Diane whispered into my ear. "I'm so happy for you."
My back was leaning by the door as I watched the maids clear some of my things so the Alpha wolf could pack in. They were staying for two days which got me relieved because they'd take me when they went back to their pack.
Then that amazing scent wrapped around me like a blanket, it smelt like pine trees and soap. I knew who had the scent but didn't turn immediately. My heart beat started at a faster pace, and I stood pretending not to notice him beside me.
He cleared his throat trying to make me look at him and I turned. Flawless skin, dark hairs, crystal blue eyes, perfectly shaped face with pink lips to die for. My throat dried up as I watched him bite them.
"Uh-uhm." I cleared my throat.
"I was told.." I paused and noticed him looking intently into my eyes, I was lost.
"Ava.." Elena called and I looked back. She smiled and stood before us. She looked at him and then to me. "We've ordered the table at munch. Hi, Edward, we wish to see you there also, with your uhm.." She trailed off. "What's happening to Elena?." I asked myself.
"Like your pack..I mean squad. I wish to leave now." She turned to leave but I stopped her with my hand on her arm. She turned, "Are you okay?." I asked worriedly.
I let the maids walk out with a few things of mine and I looked at Elena. "I'll be back, Alpha Ed." I said, my hand went down Elena's hand and we walked away together.
In her room, Elena broke into tears. I was drawn to her. "Oh Elena. You shouldn't cry because I'm leaving. I might come by to see you." I told her. She looked up, "It's under probability. It's fine, I'm happy that you're happy." She mumbled.
"I just miss him." She added with a sniff. I knew that's why she was crying. I've studied her for quite a time. "This is not the end, Elena. You have to fight back, fight for you and your mate. "
"A mate that doesn't even remember her." A voice said from the entrance and we looked up. We watched Naomi walk in and sat casually on the couch.
"Do you know something, Naomi?." I asked. She nodded looking at the quiet Elena. "Okay. I've not really had time to talk to you guys but I've found why the brown does not remember Elena."
I watched Elena raise her brows and furrowed it on her. Okay, we're getting somewhere.
"Wendy had her mom do some spells on him. They made him lose his memories, starting from the day he stepped into the school. So all the things he did with you was erased from his memories."
"Simple, the bond should make him remember." I said and they both looked at me. "Not possible when he doesn't have a soul."
"What?." Elena almost screamed out. "What have they done to my mate?." Elena questioned. "He's not dead yet. They only sealed him into the darkest memory of his life."
There was silence for a few more minutes, we waited for her to speak but no words came out. "Elena, the best solution for this is to talk to your mother about this, and that way you can have your mate back." I blurted out. I waited for a response but none came.
"Elena," I snapped my hand in her face and she blinked, she looked up, "That bitch is going to pay."
"Leave her, Elena. Listen to Ava, she's right." Naomi said and I shook my head. She quickly stood up, with a frown. "My mom should go to hell. I'll sort my problems myself." She said and walked out of the room.
"This girl keeps annoying me daily. Make her understand what she has to do. The earlier, the better." Noami instructs and leaves through the door. I sighed.
I walked out of her balcony and looked down. I saw Elena sitting on the grass at the garden looking lost as always. I knew she must be thinking of her mate once again and I understand how it feels to lose a mate.
Before I didn't know what she had been going through until I found Edward. Now I know what it takes if I lose Edward.
I stopped in front of her and sat beside her.
"Ava, if this is about my mom, forget it." She said, "Elena, listen to me. You have to listen to me." I pleaded, she didn't utter a word so I continued.
"Your mate's a slave and the only person to save him is you. How would you do it?. The only person to help you is your mom." She looked at me.
"What about your mother?." She questioned.
