Chapter 189: Proposing a Separation

Su Yunjin didn't speak again.

After helping Gu Ya change his pants, Su Yunjin looked up only to find Gu Ya staring at her, apparently having been doing so for a while. Being watched by Gu Ya so intently made Su Yunjin somewhat uncomfortable.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

Gu Ya grasped Su Yunjin's hand, encasing it within his own. The frivolous air from before was gone, replaced by a serious tone, "Yun'er, I have caused you worry this time."

Aside from the initial worry upon hearing the news about Gu Ya's incident, Su Yunjin stopped worrying after returning to the Gu Family and seeing Gu Ya in person.

Because she knew Gu Ya's leg wouldn't be a problem.

She could mend it for him.

Gu Ya added, "Yun'er, it won't happen again."

Was Gu Ya making a promise to her?

"Husband, didn't you say you wouldn't go to the mountain anymore? Did you lie to me?" Su Yunjin thought back to Gu Ya's words from before, feeling foolish for having believed him.
