Chapter 6

Gunner was walking along the street as his eyes caught sight of the mansion up ahead so that he could rest soon. He had made it safely away from the hell hounds things became a lot easier for him to catch his own breath. There was no sign of the lone hell hound that he wounded on the roof because it had taken off. Things were finally starting to look up for him when his eyes caught the glimpse of a man up ahead walking in his direction. It seemed as though he was deliberately heading towards him in a casual manner.

Looking the man over it was easy to tell by the ears and the long tail waving slowly back and forth behind him that he was of a demon race. His long pink hair that went half way down his back was blowing in the breeze just slightly like ripples on water. Coming to a stop where he stood he stared the man directly in those purple eyes as he contemplated on how to react. Unsure of who the man was he thought it was best to wait and see what he wanted before making his decision.

"Well, hello there." The man gave a small casual wave.

"Who are-?" Gunner tried to request his name but the man had already swiftly moved his body behind his. With his arms wrapped around his shoulders, the man placed his chin onto Gunner's shoulder with a slight smile playing at his face as his head tilted just so that his purple eyes could gaze into Gunner's red eyes curiously.

"Name's Apollo. I was wondering what the so called hound of Abaron looked like.." Apollo's eyes flickered with a hint of seduction as he kept himself wrapped around Gunner as if it was the most natural thing to do in the situation. He could see the confused glint in Gunner's eyes at what he was doing and it raised his desire to tease the man more. The thought that Prince Clyde had no idea he had the man in his grasp already pleased him to the core wondering how he would react if he was to find out.

"You're the one Clyde wanted to ask for aid with the city from?" Gunner turned his head slightly to look more directly at Apollo's face. The man was almost as beautiful as a woman, in fact his beauty surpassed a great number of women even if he was a demon.

"Correct! So you know of me?" Apollo felt surprised to think that Prince Clyde would mention his name to the man. He could only assume it was to ward the man off of him.

"Not in the slightest." Gunner cleared his throat.

"Oh?" Apollo's expression shifted repeatedly as he thought about different things. "Would you like to?"

Toying with the necklace in his pocket using his fingertips he considered the question carefully that Apollo had offered. Prince Clyde would never go into detail about the man and yet he would always treat him as if he was a plague to be avoided at all costs. If he was to accept the offer he knew Clyde would be upset to find out.

"You're worried about how the prince will react?" Apollo's eyes looked down at the hand that was toying with something in the man's pocket. Smiling warmly, his ears flinched slightly as he leaned his face in closer to Gunner's as if to press him to agree as he spoke further. His tail wrapping around Gunner's body as he shifted himself in front of the man, his arms grasping onto his shoulders. "I only wish to get along with Prince Clyde's little hound. He need not know~"

"How do I know I can trust your not going to try and kill me?" Gunner could see the man trying to tease him so he felt the urge to turn the table on him.

Taking his index finger Gunner slowly tilted the demon man's head up as he brought his face closer into his just as he had done causing their mouths to become only far enough apart to breath as they felt each other's hot breath against their own. The only thing that blocked their lips from being able to touch was the black muzzle Gunner wore. A slight blush was brought out just below Apollo's eyes as he felt Gunner's arm wrap around him, pulling his waist against the man's own. Instinctively his tail moved on it's own to tighten more as his hands slid onto Gunner's bare chest in between the tight straps.

"What reason would I have to lye? I'm simply offering you answers to why he hates me so~ All you have to do is show up tomorrow night." Apollo's slightly flushed expression shifted into a bright smile as his hand slowly slid down into the pocket where Gunner had been fooling around with the necklace causing them both to glance downward. Pulling the silver chain necklace from the pocket Apollo held it up in front of them both for a second before slipping it into his own. "For now, shall we call this a gift for our first meeting?"

"Wait, that-" Gunner went to speak but Apollo quickly removed himself from Gunner and stood a few feet apart.

"Remember, hound of Abaron, tomorrow night when the sun fade beyond the horizon. Remember, it's our little secret." Apollo's smile felt as though it was hiding something more behind his gaze to Gunner.

"I don't.." Before Gunner had time to refuse his offer the man had already begun to run off into the city as if he was prancing through an open field. He could see the man holding out his arms wide as his body occasionally jumped and twirled in the air in a motion that made his tail spin round and round with him. It was almost as though he was dancing with enjoyment. There was no understanding Apollo right away because every word and every action only made him feel like more of a mystery in Gunner's eyes. It did not feel, however, that the man was dangerous so he could not understand the rivalry between him and Prince Clyde.
