Raven held Lily's small hand in his as they strolled along the beach. These past few days, all he wanted was to give her the happiness they both deserved but had been denied. Spending time like this with her made Raven feel fulfilled and at ease. The sound of the surf and the cries of seagulls filled the air as they walked, their feet sinking into the sand.
"Do you remember the first day we came here?" Lily asked, squeezing Raven's hand gently to get his attention.
Raven nodded; it was the same day Lily got to know a little about his feelings for her. "I do remember. We were supposed to go see your father that day."
Lily smiled, her eyes shining with tears. "I would never forget that day. It was almost the happiest day of my life. I had so much fun."
Raven stopped walking, holding Lily's shoulder so she would face him. "Tell me, was that the day you started falling for me?"
