Scarlett's Last Stand?

Heidi was given a task to dispose of the vampire that tried to violate her but she knew that Dante had a method of disposing of people that opposed him and that was putting them into a safe and dumping them underwater in a remote place where the water was poisonous so these vampires actively decay despite their healing properties as this put them in a constant state of pain.

They couldn't escape the cycle, and Dante had no regrets with these waters were off-limit to everyone.

They were no chance of being saved but Heidi feared that one day she might enter here.

She was still amazed that other vampires could be compelled, if she didn't witness she wouldn't have believed it but Dante does it so easily.

Heidi found herself curious as to what Dante would do if he found the person imprinted on Scarlett.

She couldn't understand why he was so taken with a human when he could have any human he wanted.

What made her so special?

She feared that Dante might lose sight of why he existed, he existed only because he couldn't die but she had no idea what would happen if Dante took an active part in this world.

She knew that this world would be in danger of a dramatic change in balance.

There wasn't a vampire or vampire hunter alive that even came close to endangering Dante.

Heidi was curious as to where Dante came from, or who even turned him for him to be so powerful.

Scarlett ran for her life but it felt hopeless, she was only human and she knew her legs would give out at any moment but these ghouls, would keep chasing her relentlessly.

Scarlett couldn't keep running forever and she knew she needed a way to kill them.

"Fuck! This isn't looking good!" Scarlett thought to herself as she hid behind a tree hunk, hoping that this would hide her long enough for her to figure out a more permanent way to deal with them.

"This might be a problem!" Scarlett thought, she sought refuge in her mind for her reality was looking dim.

She could hear their groaning and footsteps getting closer and closer.

There was no escaping it, she knew that they would find her but she had no intentions of going out like a coward.

Scarlett knew she had to die proudly and she managed to find a tree branch to wield as a weapon.

The ghouls charged at her and Scarlett wielded this tree branch with such grace that made one wonder just how effective she would be with an actual weapon in hand. Scarlett cut down these ghouls, they were weaker than the average ghoul but that was to be expected considering a newborn made them.

Scarlett soon felt one grab her arm, they were making physical contact with her now and she knew it would only be a matter of time before she was overwhelmed but her escape route was cut now.

There was nowhere to run but Scarlett didn't fear the thought of death because she knew she fought her hardest and the ghouls soon tackled her to the ground but they weren't feeding on her.

They simply held her in place and Scarlett instinctively knew what was about to happen.

She struggled but it was in vain because while these ghouls might be weaker than the average ghoul, there were still a lot stronger than humans.

And Scarlet was a human when push came to shove.

"I found you~" The vampire appeared.

"I like that look in your eyes!" The vampire boasted, he was glad that he finally found his prey.

He was salivating and Scarlett could feel her shirt being forcefully pulled up but she held a brave face.

"I guess this is it…" Scarlett thought to herself, she was ready to bite off her tongue and end her life right there.

The vampire's mind control didn't work on Scarlett so he knew he couldn't stop her from taking her life.

"If you bite off your tongue, I will give you my blood before you can take your last breath," The vampire threatened, this would turn her into one of his ghouls and that was the last thing that Scarlett wanted.

The heinous vampire was getting ready to mount Scarlett like the pig that he was.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?" A voice called out behind this newborn vampire.

"This voice…" Scarlett thought to herself, it was a voice she was familiar with and her eyes looked past the vampire that was about to mount her.

It was Dante!

"Run Dante! These people aren't human! Scarlett tried to warn Dante but she noticed the look in his eyes wasn't that of the gentleman she had met earlier that day.

"Get him!" The vampire that was about to have his way with Scarlett commanded his ghouls, he was getting cocky but only because he didn't know who his opponent was. He didn't know he was before the strongest vampire to ever exist and he was about to learn the hard way.

The ghouls that attempted to attack Dante contorted aggressively and deformed horribly.

Dante didn't care if they were ghouls or the kind of life they lived before becoming ghouls.

Anyone that dared raised their hands against him will cease to exist.

The ghouls died without Dante moving a finger and Scarlett was speechless, but the vampire on top of her was in disbelief.

"You bas-" He couldn't even complete his sentence because he felt a blow so powerful that blew off his entire lower mouth, he was sent flying into a nearby tree hunk, shattering his spine upon impact.

Dante was angry, for the first time in a long really long time, and that was why he was using his hands.

"W-What are you!?" Scarlett asked the man before her and Dante smiled innocently at her before saying.

"You have forgotten me again, haven't you?"
