THE ROOMS

 Sam, is everything alright?  Nathan inquired.

" You almost took out my heart from my lungs and was that necessary to slam the door? " Samantha inquired as she held her chest as her heartbeat was racing ten times the normal rate. 

" I am sorry I startled you, "Nathan stated.

" Are you sure this was not your prank, and you wanted to scare me off? " Samantha inquired with a doubtful face. 

 I'm sorry, and why would I do that? " Nathan inquired." How would I know your intentions after you heard me yelling out for you to open the door? Did that mean you didn't hear me?  Samantha inquired, confused, as her gaze stuck on his face. 

 I swear I didn't hear you. Because of that fact, I was on my way coming down to fetch you and thought that you had bounced back with the deal. " Nathan stated

" Why would I go back on my word? " Samantha inquired. 

" I don't know why you would, but if not, let me help you with your bags to get to your room or else we won't have our party tomorrow. " Nathan stated as he bent to pick up his bags before he started to stroll and was halted. 

" Wait, Nathan, Could you please place my luggage down for a minute? " Samantha stated, as she had not moved an inch from where Nathan found him earlier. 

" Are you serious right now? " Nathan inquired with a profound voice. 

" Do I look like I am jesting around?" Samantha stated

 Samantha, can you move? You are starting to worry me off, Nathan stated as he reluctantly plunged the bags into his hand. 

" I felt a little numb like something was holding my legs, and before you came out I tried to unlock this door and this room is a bit off. " Samantha stated.

 Are you sure of what you are saying? Nathan inquired.  Yeah, could you just come and open this door and stop staring like I am a ghost? I feel this mansion has weird things that are here. Samantha stated.

" Okay, I will, but if I find that you are pranking me off, then you will do my chores for the four days. " Nathan stated.

" What if I am right, I will get the whole profit from the deal? " Samantha stated.

Okay, Nathan stated as he strolled back to where Samantha stood. 

" Wait, I thought I checked this room earlier. " Nathan stated 

" And what did you find? " Samantha inquired as she felt relief in her legs. 

" The room was empty, Nathan stated, as he was dumbstruck 

" Hey, did you two choose your rooms? " Mila, with a soft voice from behind, inquired

" Yes, Mom, just a minute, are you the ones with the keys to this room? " Samantha inquired.

" What keys? " Mila inquired as she gazed at the doorknob, confused.

" Are you playing with my mind? " Mila inquires.

" What do you mean by that Mom? "Nathan, who stood next to the door frame inquired 

Why don't you see this door does not have a keyhole, and you have to twist it to open, Mila stated as he unfurled the entrance.

" Wait, I tried that earlier but couldn't open it. " Samantha stated.

I also endeavored to unfurl it but couldn't open it. Don't you think Mum is that weird? " Nathan inquired

I get that you guys are mad at me for taking your phone accessories, but could both of you act like grown-ups for once, I don't have to deal with your young brother, and you two, and for that case. You two will look after him for the weekend, and you had better get underway with your rooms, or you won't have your phones back, Mila stated before the sheet to the two who were about to complain. 

" I think Mum has been tormented by one of the ghosts. " Samantha stated as she gazed at her mother who vanished from the hallways. Her footsteps faded away. 

" You must be daydreaming, "Nathan stated.

" Maybe it is this house that is tormenting us? " Samantha stated, and she was standing there looking at the room that had nothing in it and didn't know when Nathan left until she heard him call out her name. 

" Sam, Sam, hurry up, you don't want to miss this. " Nathan, who was standing at the window yelled out her name. 

" Nathan, what is it? " Samantha, who had just made her way inside the chamber that would be her room, was mesmerized only to meet with the enormous room. What caught her attention was the portrait that was at the top of her bed. The lady in the portrait looked exactly like her. 

" Nathan, you want to come and look at this? " Samantha stated

" What should I look at? " Nathan, who came from the balcony that was a meter away from the lavatory, stated

Wait, that looks exactly like you. At least you have finally met your twin. Could we go now if you don't want to miss this out, Nathan stated as he pulled her hand before she stopped him?

 Wait, Nathan, don't you think this is a bit weird? In the same room I will be sleeping in, there is someone who has a similar face painted, and also painting brushes are there. Samantha stated.

 Maybe it was a gift from Dad, and he wants to support you in your art classes. Who knows? Follow me if you don't want to miss out on what I just saw. " Nathan stated as he pulled her to the balcony, 

What a breeze of fresh air, Samantha stated as a cold breeze met her body. Look down there. Do you see that, Nathan inquired

 I only see the cemeteries that are all over. Does that mean we are going to be buried there? I wonder how long these walls have been intact, Samantha stated.

I don't mean the Cemetery, but that building there looks like a church, Nathan stated as he pointed in the opposite direction from where the cemeteries were. 

 Why don't we go check it out? I think we have all we have for the internet. Samantha stated as she strolled from her room, followed by Nathan.
