The Meeting of Clans - Part 2

Samuel took a deep breath and looked at the old woman one last time before leaving, she seemed overjoyed for reasons Samuel couldn't quite fathom. He was still very young after all.

He left the room and walked back through the corridor to return to the big council hall. He heard plenty of chatting even before he opened the door, and when he did open the door he was surprised to see almost every seat taken by their respective leaders.

Every clan leader was followed by one or two of their highest as well that stood behind them or sat on temporary chairs. Alsian was quick to look at him and Samuel gave him a nod while patting the emblem that he had pocketed in his shadow storage.

The hall was actually beginning to quiet down as Samuel arrived and he noticed a few people looking at him, the door was shortly thereafter opened again as Lady Osira came walking with the help of another guard.

"Finally done I see my Lady! As always we had to wait for all these silly youngsters hoping to create their own clans. I hope this last one didn't make any ridiculous requests!" The man who spoke quickly laughed.

Samuel looked at him and saw him sitting at the emblem of Clan Zabel.

The ones seated above were a bit more quiet, but also looked on with interest. Samuel simply smiled at the man and gave him a nod which made many others in the hall smile, but also made a few shocked.

To see such a young man make a fuss at one of the leaders of the original clans might not be the best. Clan Zabel was known for being power hungry money grabbers, many disliked them for that fact, but also wouldn't want to annoy them because of it.

They did own quite a bit of land and power after all.

Samuel slowly stepped off to the side to let Lady Osira pass, only one other chair at the bottom was empty except for Clan Xaxiaz and it was the Royal bloodline.

"Alright kid, off the stage now. This lower place is not a place for you!" The clan leader of Zabel spoke with a disgruntled tone of voice that seemed like he was willing to let Samuel's actions slip.

Lady Osira held her ground for a while as she happily watched Samuel whom had slowly started walking towards the seat of house Xaxiaz. He looked upon the seat and found it almost a bit nostalgic.

"Did you not hear Lord Zabel!" One of the clan leaders retainers behind him spoke up and took a step forward.

Samuel ignored it and stopped in front of the emblem in front of the chair. The retainer quickly started taking a few more steps forward in an angry pace as he channeled magic through his body.

The retainer quickly reached Samuel and put a strong hand on his shoulder, "Alright enough kid time to---" He wasn't able to speak further as Samuel took one step forward his foot stepping into the area of the emblem.

Which made an explosive show of lighting up as well as surround Samuel in a violet aura, he quickly turned around and spoke to the retainer, "Hands off!" As the violet aura turned into spikes of lightning hitting the nearest surroundings.

In shock the retainer did let him go and took several steps back before falling backwards and landing on their rear end. Just sitting there with an open mouth.

But the same could of course be said about the rest of the leaders of each clan, shock and awe was spread all across their faces. They all quickly stopped when the violet aura dissappeared in a flash, at the same time Samuel sat down in the seat with the emblem on the floor still lit up.

The only ones not surprised in the entire room were the people that already knew, which amounted to about six people.

"Thats impossible! All the stories detail about how they went extinct thousands of years ago! What is the meaning of this?" The one who spoke was a middle aged looking lady which was previously seated in the seat of Clan Presthan straight across from Samuel.

She looked over at Lady Osira for answers, Lady Osira smiled "I made the blood test, I am certain of it."

Many seemed even more shocked as she spoke, but Lord Zabel scoffed, "And how can we know that you haven't gone old and senile enough to make mistakes at your age?" Some seemed to agree while others suddenly started telling him off for the disrespect of their elder.

"I have actually done the test myself and I can confirm Lady Osira if you must know!" Zalbas master spoke up from the second floor. Which made many calm down, now there was another person confirming it.

"I will verify those claims because I was also there." Those words spoken made everyone quiet because it was Alsian whom had spoken them.

Among the children of mana Alsian was known to be quiet, in fact every member of Clan Chronos was pretty quiet and just liked being to themselves.

There were not many that belonged to Clan Chronos, member wise it was a small clan which was an oddity for the thirteen original bloodlines.

Alsian looked over at Samuel with a smile, "Are you alright little cousin!" The smile seemed to tell Samuel to play along.

So he nodded and smiled, "All good!" Another message was sent here that the two were related, which made everyone back down from making any further counter claims.

Even the Clan leader of Zabel backed down, "So how many are there of house Xaxiaz alive? How many are currently in house Xaxiaz?" He asked instead.

Alsian was the one to answer, "As far as we know only Lord Xaxiaz here, and how many they are... the answer is two right now." Upon his words Vazmarx who was in his foxkin shape that towered quite tall walked out from the shadows behind Alsian and walked over to Samuel and stood behind him with his arms crossed.

"Two?" Lord Zabel sighed, "Well I suppose a recent revival wouldn't amount to much." He grinned and some in the crowd laughed at his joke.

"Amount to much you say?" Lady Osira spoke up and walked to the center of the floor. "For the first time in thousands of years all the clans and bloodlines of the originals have assembled. A shame that we are only lacking the Royals. But this can only be a good sign, I thought clan Xaxiaz was long gone, but now the protector clan is back."

"It is surely a blessing from our goddess!" Osira smiled and many murmurs and nods were heard and seen inside the hall. While many still seemed to try to fathom the fact that someone sat in the seat of house Xaxiaz right now.

"Won't be much of a protector clan during these days! Especially seeing how there are not many of them left." The lord of Zabel continued his rant, "Not that any house or clan has much more than the legends and stories told about their original purpose."

"Not quite Lord of Zabel!" A new voice spoke out, an moon elf woman stood up on the second level, the lord of Zabel turned to look and visibly rolled his eyes.

"Head scientist Alfrith! Have you made any new revelation to support all your many theories?" As much as the man was disrespectful there was also a hint on interest in his voice.

The head scientist as she was so called by the lord of Zabel simply gave everyone a smile. "The archives are endless and filled with information that takes years upon years to completely translate and understand."

"But to call house Xaxiaz; Protectors... Would be calling it lightly. Like we believed for many years, the reason why we sit here today is because of their sacrifice!"

"I am glad to see that the bloodline is still alive, I am also glad to have figured out that House Chronos was most likely behind the fact that they managed to survive many thousands of years ago!" The woman gave Alsian a wry smile.

"The language of Manaic takes time to translate, but we have been able to translate more than we ever have before. Because of many new discoveries, including that which our ancestors referred to as an A.I or Artificial Intelligence, much like the Magiforged that were creates as sentient life through magic. Except even further advanced and beyond our current time."

"The reality of what we can refer to as 'technology and science' is very much real, and the fact that our ancestors used the highest versions of technology and incorporated it with their high understanding of magic... Made for some very interesting creations, the best of science and magic combined."

Alfrith raised her hands and motioned toward the very facility they were standing in with a cocky smile aimed at the lord of Zabel.

Samuel could see that he was grinding his teeth in frustration, but he did not pay it any heed as he was much more interested in hearing what Alfrith had to say.

"Alas that is not what we are here to fully discuss today, even if I find the subject to be extremely interesting!" The Lady of the Bloodline of Caxtaphor spoke up, she was seated next to the Lord of Zabel.

"This is true, we are here to speak first and foremost about what action we will take!"

"Thats right thats right!" Many voices started speaking out, some very eager while others were quiet.
