NightMare - Part 2

He felt so refreshed in fact that he quickly got out of bed and did a lot of push ups and sit ups to get a feel for just how good he was feeling, after working up a morning sweat he quickly went into the showerbath and washed away all the grime and sweat he had accumulated the past two days. When he felt nice and refreshed he got out in his clean robe, thankfully their uniforms were self cleaning to an extent, the same could not be said for his bedsheets that he quickly removed and replaced with new ones and put the old ones in his dirty assortment of clothes.

He saw out his window that dawn was just about rising from over the dawn, so there were still another hour or two before class. So he quickly walked down and remembered the nice breakfast his mother served with a tinge of sadness lingering in his mind. He focused on the task at hand and shook off the sorrow, finding eggs, bacon, bread to make toast, sausages and some cheese.

He also found several spices like salt and pepper and a few others he had never used himself, so he took samples of the ones he had never tried as far as he was aware, and recognized the taste of some in meals he had tried. So he picked out a few to use for cooking that fit well with the taste.

He made a nice family breakfast for four people, and almost as if lured to the food like a sirens song, the three girls came walking down after a while to newly cooked breakfast on four separate plates, and a nice pitcher of cold water and cutlery all prepped.

"You didn't lie when you said you could cook!" Sonya almost squeeled out of happiness, perhaps she would not need to eat her own failed cooking attempts during her stay here if someone could help her cook.

Both Ulma and Erica also looked really hungry and they felt their mouths watering at the nice smell and meal in front of them. "Well, go ahead and dig in!" Samuel motioned for them to sit and eat which all three of them did in silence mostly because they were occupied with the food, but Erica was the first to ask. "First you got late the first day and the second day you did not show up at all!" She seemed genuinely worried which made Samuel sigh in relief, at least someone cared.

"Yeah sorry I had some temporary 'magical sickness'" Samuel nodded slowly, "But hey I feel all good now!" He said while holding his right arm and flexing it, making the muscles bulge. Samuel was the type that looked fit but really thin, until he flexed his muscles making Ulma almost choke on her food in surprise as she stared at his muscles.

Sonya looked a bit worried when he mentioned the magical sickness, "Its not something contageous right? I have seen magical sicknesses before and they can be scary!" Samuel shook his head, "If it was contageous I dont think the healer would have acted to calm about it, I just dont know what else to call it. I was sick and then it passed really quickly and now I feel great!" He quickly replied.

Sonya nodded but remained skeptical, while the other two finished gobbling their food. "You know, If you make good food like that for us every time, just tell me what you want me to buy so you can continue making good food!" Erica sighed and leaned back in pure bliss from the breakfast, both the other two girls nodded along and actually agreed on something again.

Samuel just inwardly sighed, he was no master chef and the meal he had made was pretty basic but he gave them a small smile and said "Sure I will do my best!" Which made all three girls raise their eyebrows and Erica quickly walked to the side of the table and stood next to him. "If you are gonna smile, Then dont smile so creepily!" She said and instantly put a finger each on the corners of his mouth and extended them into a proper smile.

"Smile like this instead!" She said before breaking out in a laugh at his ridiculous expression, followed by the other two girls that barely contained themselves. So far the day had started great for all of them and they were all in high spirits as they prepared the rest of their things. Samuel noticed that the girls had gotten to know eachother better while he mostly brooded to himself, but he was completely fine with that.

When they arrived at class in good time, the professor quickly grunted. "Mr. Fayt finally in good time today I see!" Samuel did not want to push it and gave the professor a nod of respect instead. More stares from other students he did notice though, they were all candidate students so they probably saw him as a freeloader that did not take the college seriously. He decided to ignore them however and continued his hard studies.

The lesson continued with the basic theory of casting spells of first level comparing to how it was different from cantrips, that day was the final day of reading and learning about it in theory, the next day they were going to train in a training hall at actually casting which meant that all their mentors would be present as well to help out.

Samuel sighed and imagined himself finally being able to cast spells of the basic level, he had so many cantrips in his head that could be used for the most basic things one could imagine. But he remained a diligent student for the remainder of class. Before they were finally dismissed, they left in their respective groups.

"Wanna go enjoy some dinner?" Erica asked the group, which they all agreed to with Erica leading the way to the dinner hall, but before they could fully leave another group of their classmates blocked the exit, they were all male. "Why dont you ladies ditch this loser and join us for food and fun instead!" The upfront leader of them said with a smile, hinting at his good human looks and perfect wavy blonde hair.

"Nah we're good!" Sonya took a step forward with a smile. "Oho hear that boys, the princess thinks she's too good for us! She prefers the company of commoners!" He joked making the others in the group laugh along at Samuel's expense. But Samuel just stood there looking like he had no idea what was going on, making the other dudes really annoyed. "You're really dense ain'tcha!" The leader spoke again this time directly insulting Samuel.

Samuel just shrugged, "I admit I might be a bit dense, but its part of my natural charm!" Samuel said while adjusting his hair a little bit, almost imitating the leader, which made the girls smile almost in cringe and the other dudes just laughed at their leader who was being made a fool of.

"You gon regret that! You filthy commoner!" The leader replied and pushed Samuel's chest with all his might! Much to his surprise Samuel hardly flinched from the push, he had stood his ground with his inner swordsman doing the work.

But what shocked the leader wasn't only the fact that the push didn't work but also the well trained body he felt when trying to push it. For a few moments Samuel narrowed his eyes to stare at him and for a few moments the air became colder and he could swear he saw a vision of a black steed covered in shadows walk out of the wall and breathe heavily at him as the shadows came to life.

Samuel let his eyes return to normal and the coldness in the air stopped, and the leader finally took a few steps back and trembled a bit before quickly turning around and leaving, which left the rest of his team standing there wondering what had just happened. Apperantely only he had seen the vision and now he was scared of Samuel, that wasn't a commoner. That. Was. A. Monster!
