Chapter 3:Hue And Cry

"Come here darling, I have a present for you. I' very certain you'll like it. "

No.. It can't be my mother, she's dead! 

"Darling, come over here. Please? I missed you. "

"NO!!!!! STOP! LEAVE ME ALONE!" With that, I raced to the forest covering my ears. I can feel my heart beats so fast that it hurts already. My vision is blurry because of the tears streaming down my cheeks but I don't mind it anymore. I need to get out of here before I'll lose my shit.

My feet continued to move so promptly that I tripped over a flat stone. How nice, Lunox. 

Little do I know that hundreds of birds are coming for me—Mockingbirds. I instantly stood up and ran to avoid the birds but there are plenty of them and they are freaking chasing me. 

But I failed to get rid of them, so they attacked. 

I screamed in torture as I feel my skin tearing apart. I can definitely conclude that I am now soaking in my own blood and it stinks. I kept on flinching like a hopeless girl, covering her face to prevent any bruises on it. 

Who thinks about their face in the middle of shit? No one, until me. 

I felt so weak out of screaming and the damage of my body right now. I've lost so much blood to the point I can't move a muscle. Thank God, the birds left me and flew away. 

Damn those bitches. I'm hating birds from now on. 

"Hey are you okay?" I felt someone on my left asking me that. 

"She's obviously not okay Rafaela." A guy on my right mocked her. 

"Oh! Fuck off Gusion." 

So it's a girl on my left and guy on my right. As much as I want to open my eyes to see who they are but no, these two will surely betray me. 

I'm pretty certain that the girl on my side is checking my wounds then she instantaneously gasps. 

"You're healing yourself. Wow.. " She whispered it out of amusement. 

"Gusion, we should bring her to the Fortress." Rafaela told the guy. 

"So?"

"So? Gusion you fucking dimwit, carry her!" 

With that, Rafaela marched out. "Fuck this." Gusion cussed. What's wrong with this dude?

He walked towards me and carried me like what Rafaela instructed him. His hand set on my waist and the other one on my back. Gripping me so tightly as if I'll fall any moment. 

This—with our skins pressed together in some ways, makes me feel weird. I'm sure I haven't seen him before, but why is kind of familiar to me? 

The fact that my head is on his chest is not even helping to calm down this organ inside my rib cage for pete's sake. 

I tried to open my eyes because I could not contain my curiosity any longer on how and why he makes me feel like a weird girl crushing a guy on school. 

Crush? Oomf. Definitely not .

"Don't you dare to move a muscle. I'm bringing you home so stay still." He bossed in a hoarse voice, tightening his grip. 

Well, I won't be Lunox if I'm not hard headed, with that, I fiercely opened my eyes and stare at him.

Oh fuck. A living hot creature. I gulped for who knows how many times. I feel like "you look so hot" is branded on my forehead as he look down to me with a smirk on his face. 

Wow. I sucked in my breath and gasps. Now, I'm embarrassed. 

"Uhh.." I started, not sure what to say. "Sorry." Sorry? Really Lunox? That's what you gonna say!? I mentally scolded myself. 

He paused and stare down at me. Scanning my face—making me a bit uncomfortable just by thinking that I may have some dirt on my face, then he merely chuckled. I broke my gaze before I can squeal like a seal and embarrass myself even more. 

"It's nice to see you, Lunox." He said with a sexy smirk plastered on his face. 

Shock expression is visible all over my face. I couldn't say anything. I'm speechless. How on earth does he know my name? Oh shit! 

He does know my name. Don't tell me kinikig ako? What the fuck? Kailan ka pa kinilig Lunox? 

I'm so sorry, but consider me dead from now on thanks to this guy carrying me, Gusion.
