Chapter 2:The encounter

Belerick woke me up like way too early. I know that I already slept for a century and shouldn't be complaining yet my body is still exhausted. Does that make sense? 

I am currently leading Belerick to wherever we are going after that voice called me again. It's creepy, yeah that's given but my instincts tell me that I must follow.

"Where are we heading?" I asked. "Like the voice is telling me to this way." I wrinkled my nose as I try to explain why the heck I'm leading this trip. 

I turned my head to look for him when I didn't got his response and found him smelling a tree. 

Smelling a tree?

"This is the way to the Celestial Palace." He replied. 

"Oh." I started. "Uhm. Why did you smell the tree? It's kinda weird and I'm curious."

He laughed as if it was the funniest question he had heard. "I'm from the tree people race, remember? I can navigate places just by smelling those trees. My asset." And he smiled. 

I nodded as a reply and continued walking.

"Master."

"Yes?"

"Nung nawala ka noon, natapos din yung kaguluhan. Pero hindi ka man lang hinanap ng magulang mo. Sabi pa nga nila na ayos ka lang at di ka namin kailangan hanapin." Tanong niya saakin. 

Oh. "Hindi ko rin alam eh. Baka siguro alam nila ang mangyayari sakin? We may never know."

Tumango naman si Belerick at bigla akong isinakay sa kanyang likod. "Hey!" I yelled. 

"Just doing my job, Master." He laughed. 

I tried to stop him but he's too strong. "Put me down, please? I can just walk."

"I'll carry you na lang. I don't like my master to get tired."

I smiled. "I know what you're trying to imply. Just put me down and let me walk, please? I wanna walk, your master's order."

"And I must oblige. Okay....okay, fine." He sighed and I jumped down out of his back. 

Now, this is exercise. I haven't walked for almost a century and it seems that my blood is not circulating right anymore. Geez, I badly need to blow off some steam for my blood.

While we were walking, I realized that I probably missed a lot of things that had happened in this place. It's so hard not to remember even my name or my parent's name, my friends—if I happen to have one, my hobbies, my ability and all. I can't even recall what I look like before. Frustrating as you think, but hey, that's actually happening right now and I am indeed dumbfounded.  Belereick and I kept walking for who knows how long and till now, I can't still see that damn fortress! This path is just full of trees, that's all I see!

"Hey Belerick! Are we still away from the fortress you were saying?" I asked him.

"Yeah, Master. We've been only walking for an hour." Belerick replied in a tone someone would use with a child while rolling his eyes.

"Fix your eyes Belerick before I will take them off your eye balls." I glared at him and went walking again.

I felt him stilled and breathed, "Shit! She's really is their daughter. Scary."

"I can hear you Belerick."

"Sorry, Master." He smiled. 

"I was wondering you know, wala bang sasakyan na susundo satin? I mean come on—it's tiring." I asked him. 

"There's none Master, that's why I'm telling you na bubuhatin na lang ki—" 

Hindi natapos ni Belerick yung sasabihin niya because I immediately pulled him at the back of this huge tree when I sensed something.. 

Darkness. 

"Shhh. Someone is here." I quietly told him and tried to see who is coming. Agad naman siyang sumunod sakin at tahimik na pinagmamasdan ang isang bulto ng babae sa may di kalayuan na parte ng gubat. She screams danger, I ain't even kidding. 

The girl has a large wings on her back that glows in magenta color. She has horn near her forehead, resembling Maleficent. Her mouth is covered with blood and when she looked at our direction, I saw fangs. A vampire. She's a vampire! 

I started to panicked and fear prickles inside. I never seen a vampire before! "Belerick is she a vampire?"

"Yes. And she's a mage."

"Mage?" I asked him with a very tiny voice. 

He nodded. "They are magic damage dealer. A magician."

My eyes grew bigger upon hearing it. A vampire can also have magic? Eh? How true? 

"Belerick.." I silently called him since that vampire is walking towards our direction already. Holy shit! Did she saw us? Or me? Damn. I'm having chills! 

I was on the verge of panicking when suddenly, a toned purple guy blocked the girl's way and said, "What the fuck are you doing here in the forest? They might see you, such an idiot."

"Shut up Moskov. I just went hunting for blood."

"In day time? Are you nuts? They might see you and corner you for being an idiot. Tss." The 'Moskov' guy crossed his arms. 

"As if I'll let them. I even seen two bitches from their clan. I wanna kill them." She yelled emphasizing the word 'kill them' and laughed like a demon. Geez, I had goosebumps. 

"Newbies?" Moskov laughed. "Yeah, but not now. This is not yet the time for drama. Let's go."

I thought it would never end, but luckily, they vanished. I don't know how they did it but who cares when here I am still trembling. That was so close! Even Belerick went blank earlier, we were shocked, scared and panicking at the same time. 

I know I already mentioned the word 'panick' and 'panicking' for who knows how many times, but bare with me. I'm literally panicking! Oh Lord! 

"It's—Master come on, we need to hurry. I have the feeling they will hunt us down." 

I immediately stood up but Belerick suddenly sat in front of me, I am facing his back. "What are you—"

Hindi ko natapos yung tanong ko dahil bigla na lang niya ako hinila at kinarga na parang sako ng bigas! What the hell?! "Ibaba mo ako!"

"No. I will carry you. We need to move fast, they are approaching. I can sense it." He seriously stated. 

"I can sense it too. There's 3 of them." I informed him.

"Three?"

"Yeah, they're so fast. Come on!"

Belerick started running so fast. My sight is blurry that all I can see is green, that's all. He runs hella fast that it makes me dizzy.

Hold yourself Lunox, no fainting this time.
