"Where did I fall off?" Zakai thought, causing the mark on his back to respond

"Oh please, your 15. your far too young to be thinking about that"

"Say, dryad, what are the lifespans of Half-elfes?"

"I don't know, but you have spirit blood from your father, which means that you'll probably live forever aslong as mana is present in the world."

Zakai stopped, before saying "I'll rather kill myself than live eternally."

The dryad muttered, "You'll get used to it."

a familiar mana signal came, causing Zakai's left eye to have a trace of a tear slipping down

man's head to roll

Zakai consumed the man's grimoire, watching as the book consumed the grimoire

"AHHHHH!" Zakai screamed. he felt like his soul was splitting in two, but quickly calm3ed down as he looked towards the new magic "What..was..that."

sweat beaded down his neck and through his mask as it dropped down on the floor

The magic he got, was interesting..... to say the least

3 different magics of his, combined into one

Flora, Plant and fruit magic combined into one.

chlorokenisis magic, which lets me have full control over plants, tree's fruits and anything that belonged to plants

with a snap of his finger, a plant quickly turned into a tree and shot at the grunts in the sky, fliaing them off their broomsticks.

Zakai was left with a lot of bodies on the floor

feeling Noelle's group coming over, Zakai quickly scouted the fallen grunts and looked for any useful grimoire's

"Card magic?" Zakai thought, coming over to a half-dead grunt

Card magic was a rare subclass of the rare paper magic, although they do the same role

Zakai shrugged, consuming the book and moving on

but before he could go onto the next thing, he felt an overwhelming mana signal

Looking around, he could only see a woman on a large red lizard

"Fana?" Zakai muttered before his head was filled with painful memories

"YOU!" She screamed, flying down "Did you do this!"

Zakai was silent as he looked toward the girl

"ANSWER ME!" She screamed, sending a column of flames to him

She was an elf. she died in the massacre. why is she here? this makes no sense! she looks like she used to but something was wrong

Fana was meant to be dead. Zakai knew it.

As such, he was debating if he should kill her or leave her alone. she's meant to be dead, but should he really be the one to kill one of his brethren, even if the time they spent together was minimal?

Fenrir came out of his grimoire and started barking at the lizard, causing fans to widen their eyes

"Oh? a fellow spirit user." She said, her face showing disgust "It gives me more of the reason to kill you then."

"[Flame spirit magic: Salamanders breath]" The lizard beneath her shot out the fire, the fire that makes Fugeleon's look like a candle flame

it was much hotter than Zakai could imagine

"[Blood spirit magic: Blood Rush]!"

Fenrir absorbed the blood from the dead eye of the midnight sun members, as Zakai watched him get larger and stronger

this wasn't temporary. it was permanent, as Zakai said "Fenrir, come back!"

the wolf jumped back into his grimoire, causing Zakai to chant

"[Spirit magic: Sprit dive]"

A crown of blood appeared on Zakai's head, alongside the signature sword, which grew in length

Salamander seemed to stop sprouting fire, waiting for its master's command

feeling the mana signal of Noelle's group coming closer, Zakai swiped up his hands, making more thick trees behind him to impede their progress

if someone is going to kill Fana

it should be him.

"[Flame spirit magic: Salamander's claws]!"

the large lizard got close as Zakai muttered "[Lightning magic: Demonic thuderclap]"

Zakai shot out at lightning speed towards fana , who laughed

"I'LL BURN YOU TO A CRISP!" She shouted, shooting flames at Zakai

"I'LL MAKE YOU PAY FOR KILLING VETTO!"

Zakai stopped

"Uncle vetto?" Zakai muttered, "He was resurrected too?" Zakai sighed "Dryad, tell me what you know on magic that can bring someone to life."

"Im not a libabry of forbidden knowledge." Dryad muttered, "Vulgar things like those don't interest me."

"Your hiding something," Zakai muttered, dodging a fireball

The dryad gave a sigh "Those souls ... are corrupted. reincarnation magic itself is evil and forbidden, and it seemed that poor souls rage and hatred was amplified further

"So, should I kill her?"

"Try not to, her soul does not belong to that person's body. the elf "fana" is using her body as a catalyst to do her needs"

"That's a fancy way to put it. so she's basically using her body?"

"Yes."

"And how am I supposed to rid her out?"

"Try something that makes mental control waver."

Zakai smiled

he either could try the Blessed water magic, or he could test a new toy he just got

A large portion of his mana was sucked out, but the mark on his back helped regenerate it

"A...Golden apple?" The dryad muttered, "Haven't seen one of those for about 4000 years."

"You know it?" Zakai said, holding the apple that glistened in the daylight

"Yours is separate from You ancestor, Aka your great great great great great great gre- you get the point."

the golden apple was the ultimate supplementary item, that was for sure. he could tailor the effects of the golden apple to whatever he likes

the crazier the effect, the more mana he needs to put in. of course there's a limitation on it

"Just need to smash it in her mouth right?" Zakai wondered

"Hope that thing is fire resistant."

"Me too."

Zakai charged up, using wind magic to blow the fire back, protecting the apple from further harm

wind magic was an icky thing when used to Fire magic.

if the wind magic isn't strong enough, the fire will only get strengthened, making the users enemy burnt into a crisp

every gust was reinforced with strong mana as Zakai slowly but surely made his way to fana

"[Fire spirit magic: salamanders claws]"

the salamander shot out with speed Zakai didn't expect from its large body, causing him to shout

"[Blessed Gem magic: Theia's sphere]!" Zakai put all of his mana into the attack as a large piece of earth condensed over Fana , causing her to start screaming

he added some marsh magic to reduce her magic as salamander came rushing over

"Woof!"

The sword in his hand became a wolf as it seemed to be flying towards salamander , fighting it 1 on 1 to stall time

Zakai nodded , as he rushed towards the sphere and made a entrance for himself

"YOU HUMANS WILL PAY FOR WHAT YOU DID!" Fana screamed

Zakai couldn't help but semi-agree. although the humans committed atrocities , it was 300 years ago

"Is licht still alive?" Zakai asked Fana , who stopped screaming

"How....how do you know that name?" Fana said , her expression turning into pure fear

"She's crazy , just do it." The dryad said

"Shut up."

"Uncle vetto , Uncle Rhya are they still alive?" Zakai asked , causing the elf to cry "I'll never tell you."

Zakai was pained , so he quickly fed her the apple , rendering her unconscious

"Track the evil mana or whatever the fuck it is and tell me when its gone." Zakai said , trying his best to regenerate his mana , as Noelle's mana signal was getting closer

Screams came from the Elf Fana as the girl inside started to wake up

Zakai stood silent

"Why do you feel regret?" Dryad said "You only met her for a day when you were young."

"Do you feel regret?"

"Of course , what a stupid question." The dryad said "The only thing dryads have about them is the large mana pool and the ability to manipulate plants. we are useless when its comes to combat. as such , we made the dwarfs spread the word that we were some invisible rulers to stop invasions coming. it didn't stop the humans , as greed blinded there senses."

"Do you ever had the feeling that the event was orchestated?" Zakai asked , causing the dryad to snicker

"Of course the humans orchestrate-"

"by something other than Humans."

"Who would do that to our rac-"

"Figure it out , who was enemies the elfes."

But deep down , Zakai had something pulling on his brain and his heart.

he knew somebody had made that events. and knowing the events that had unfolded,Zakai knew who the main suspect was.
