Dungeons and Dragons

Right before he attempted to push the doors, lotus again saw space twist around himself, only to find himself standing directly in front of the Beast that he sought to run away from.

"Ughhh" he huffed out fatiguingly,

"I guess the third time is a charm" Lotus then took a minute to gaze fanatically at the colossal mass and spectacle of a beast before him,

the shimmering of the fountain pool of silver water behind reflected shimmers of the scales of the beast.

That same beast now caught on to the image of a tiny ant, gazing at lotus with a threatening look the dragon finally uttered words "boy, you dare enter this cave, you dare look this Noble one in the eyes, are you courting death!?" .

Completely awestruck that a dragon has just spoken to him "u-uh Ummm" Lotus couldn't help but chock on his words his knees felt weak, and his palms started to sweat as he stood in trepidation.

"boy are those your last words"

"Wait no no no no, hold on please I have many questions, but to start I do not seek death and I don't want anything to do with this cave, I swear on my mama" now that the novelty of the dragon has subsided Lotus, sweat dripped down his forward and an expression of aghast took over.

"Why do you seek the cave if you do not wish to be here", the dragon voiced with his sinister red eyes glowing ever more

"I don't know, I've been kinda ending up in different places as if I'm teleporting… I am not from anywhere around here honestly I do not seek trouble" he shrugged nervously, 'damn there's so much I wanted to do before I die, like sleep with a beautiful model, or gain a world record'

"Boy!! you dare lie in the face of this noble one, teleporting into this place is utterly impossible"

"Well no it isn't impossible, because that's exactly what happened, space around me seemingly wrapped around itself and I ended up here" he shrugged his shoulders, it was not as if he knew the answers for sure.

"What!... No, this really shouldn't be possible for a mortal to have such an ability, the only one that could have that kind of power and stay in physical form or sane even, is her" the dragon muttered quietly, its confusion seemingly fuelling its anger

"huh? who's 'her'?" now in disarray Lotus' mixed emotions added to his exhaustion on top of everything else, he lost his cool at the one existence he should never of "answer me!"

A couple of miles away from the cave, a girl around 5'5, with no shoes, and dark blue hair covered in a tattered black robe, strode like a lost wanderer.

"ugh want water, but I have to get to this fountain no matter what, I need that power, I can't go back there, no matter what" as beams of sunlight shun across the horizon of the vast and ghostly desert lands, salt grain sand seeping between her toes the girl continued to make haste, not knowing that someone already beat her to the location.

Naturally, Lotus had no way of knowing who the girl was or what her plans were, and he had problems of his own

"You dare!" the dragon roared "boy! you dare intrude in this cave and dare attempt to command me, courting death!"

"Wait wait I just.." before Lotus could even finish his sentence, in one ferocious movement the Goliath beast raised its front legs and stomped down thus causing the mounting of the ground underneath them.

"If you are affiliated with her, it better to end you off now than to regret it later" by his words the dragon's eyes lit up causing the surrounding air to sparkle as if a colony of fireflies held a ceremony "Sir, I don't wanna fight, I don't even have a weapon, let's not be unfair now Mr draggy"

this only aggravated the dragon further causing more vibrations and shaking in the area.

"Human boy plead for your life and I may spare you a painless death"

"Plead for my life? No thank you, I only pleaded not to needlessly fight, but my life? you are not worthy sorry"

"Hahaha, I am not worthy, we will see"

The dragon continued stomping mercilessly on his way right onto Lotus' head, each step shook the walls and caused the hairs on Lotus' skin to jump

Lotus while trying to catch his centre of gravity accidentally slipped forward, however on his way down something peculiar took place. While putting his arms out to catch his fall, again the mysterious power that has been stealing the show distorted the space, only this time, it was Lotus who was teleported , as he found himself belly down laying on the head of the angry dragon

"well at least I know for sure it's me"

The dragon was confused and enraged, "why is my domain not taking effect on you, you should be unable to use your abilities?"

"I'm the last person to know"

from this view, Lotus could see for the first time the beauty of the silver pond that he deemed nothing in his eyes before.

an idea switched on in Lotus' mind as if a light bulb appeared "I'm sure whatever treasure there is in there would help me with having a fair fight" at that moment Lotus braced himself and performed a full dive from the dragon head into the large pond of silver water
