Fake Token

Rong Jin exchanged greetings with the elders as he smiled at Su Qing with a relaxed expression. 

"I'm really happy to see you return safely, Qing'er. But I don't understand one thing."

"Why are you suddenly blaming me for something I didn't do? Clearly, you were the one to entrust me with the jade token, then you are now slandering me for intended murder. I… feel bad." 

Of course Rong Jin was a master of crafty fox, there is no way others can tell his face from disguise. 

And that's why he was able to fool the previous Su Qing till now.

But right now, she looked at him with a cold stare that made him feel a little different from before.

Like there was no life left behind those eyes… 

Rong Jin felt an unquenchable thirst all of a sudden, a feeling that won't get out of his head that easily. 

Yeah, even if he approached Su Qing with an ultimate intention, he also felt attracted to her at some point that he wanted her body and mind as well.

If it weren't for her being dead after taking the cut of poison knives, he would've had some good quality time to play with her.

What a shame!

'This shithead wants to get back at me? With that level of acting?'

A smirk formed in her face that made both Su Linglong and Rong Jin alert.

"Me? Since when did I trust you so much to entrust you with the jade token? I don't really understand, Young Master Rong!" She sneered at the guy as she threw the words with a harsh voice.

"You!" Su Linglong was enraged at the way of Su Qing's voice, but she remained silent after getting a signal from Rong Jin. 

'I'll trample on your last dignity today, just you wait and see. You wench!' The nails on her hands dug into her flesh and bled as Su Linglong stared at Su Qing with a hateful gaze.

"Young Master Rong is really bragging so much about the token. As if the cat will get out of the bag. Could it be that…" Su Qing narrowed her eyes in a provoking manner as she looked at Rong Jin. 

"The Jade Token you have is fake?" 

The words caused a huge uproar around the mansion as everyone started to make a commotion. 

Even the elders and Patriarch Su were shocked by the sudden declaration. 

'What if it was really fake?'

Rong Jin suddenly felt flustered by the situation as he didn't know what to say. But Su Linglong wasn't able to withstand them as she stood up and yelled out loudly. 

"There is no way the token is fake! I have seen it with my own eyes, this token can really summon the entire army with one swing!"

"T-that's right! I used it to summon the army to patrol around the city before. And it really worked just like I wanted! There is no way it's a fake!" Rong Jin came back to his senses as he hurriedly said the words to stop the uproar. 

'Yeah, that's right. There is no way it's a fake. I used it and showed everyone the big deal!'

'That wench just wants to confuse me, just you wait until today. I'll turn your life into a living hell!' Rong Jin glared at the girl as he thought of all the nasty ways to torture her.

Suddenly a bold idea came in his mind as he grinned evilly at Su Qing. 

"I expected this to happen a long time ago." 

The words that came out of his mouth were so full of confidence that it made the elders confused.

"What did you expect? Please explain clearly, Young Master Rong. Else our Su Manor wants a clear explanation from Rong family for the disrespect you showed us today!" 

Although the elders felt confused by his confidence, Patriarch Su remained unmoved by this.

Because he absolutely trusted his granddaughter and had faith in whatever she was doing.

Be it a small army or even a national crime, he wouldn't budge an inch!

That's how much Su Bai loved his family. 

"Well, I already knew that the Su Manor would be at a disadvantage after losing the strongest army to exist till now." Rong Jin sighed as he said the words, indirectly disrespecting the Su family members. 

"So, why don't we call off this tension and calmly think of a positive way?" 

"Regarding this matter, I actually have a bold idea that might come to everyone's liking." Rong Jin smirked as he gave a side glance at Su Qing. 

"Since Qing'er was the holder of the jade token, and now it's in my hand. Then why not let her into our Rong family as my concubine?" 

There was a brief moment of silence as everyone was shocked. 

Was this idea his so-called easy method?

Doesn't it clearly mean disrespect for the Su family? 

The Su family will lose face if Patriarch Su were to accept this offer, but Su Bai felt even more angry after experiencing how vile Rong Jin was.

"You dare say that my granddaughter would become your concubine? Have you lost your mind, Young Master Rong?" Su Bai stood up in anger as he looked at Rong Jin with bloodshot eyes full of disgust. 

"But isn't this the most peaceful way to get things done? Or I dare to ask the Patriarch if he has a better idea than this?"

"Think about it, Patriarch. If Qing'er were to marry me, then you can get back half of your power and hold on to the army. Isn't that a fair deal?" Rong Jin was happy to finally corner the grandpa.

Su Qing's return has actually made everything easier than before. If the plan goes on as it is now, it won't be long before he gets a hold of the head position of the Su family!
