Recovering

The four stood in Feng Mingli's room watching Meng Suyin who was lying unconscious on the bed. She had woken up in pain a little over an hour ago. The doctor had arrived a couple minutes after and given her an anesthetic to calm her down.

When Meng Suyin had fallen asleep again this time because of the anesthesia, the doctor quickly went to work and started sewing up her shoulder.

So now the four of them were watching worriedly as Meng Suyin lay unconscious on the bed running a high fever. The doctor told them it was because she was already hurt but then she went in the water and messed up her shoulder even more so her body started suffering a high fever to try and help her heal. But she needed to take some medicine to lower her fever or it would worsen and she might burn to death because of the fever.

So the four of them stayed in the room and helped the doctor take care of her. Fan Ling and Meng Yun did stay with Meng Suyin but they didn't do much to help. It was mostly Meng Jianyu and Feng Mingli who were helping the doctor lower Meng Suyin's fever. The two of them took turns wiping her body and placing a wet towel on her forehead.

They knew that Meng Suyin was a girl and they shouldn't be looking at her body, but since the two other girls in the room didn't want to help them wipe her body the two settled on wiping the easy places. Like the arms, legs, face, neck, stomach, and back. They avoided Meng Suyin's feminine parts and just wiped around them. That way they could still leave her with her dignity but also help her lower her body temperature.

The two of them and the doctor kept working to lower Meng Suyin's temperature and finally managed to lower it the next day. They then spent the next day helping Meng Suyin's temperature return to normal.

So during the two days Meng Suyin had a fever, Meng Jianyu had a lot to think about. He knew he hadn't been paying Meng Suyin much attention these past years. He had been preoccupied with protecting Meng Yun. So he forgot that Meng Suyin was a girl, and she also needed his protection at times. Then he saw how Meng Suyin kept antagonizing Meng Yun so he started to see her as a nuisance like the rest of the family. He didn't think about how she was just a young girl and it's normal to be jealous of your siblings at times. He had also seen how Meng Suyin looked at Feng Mingli. He knew she liked him, but he knew Meng Yun also liked him.

He didn't want to admit it but he still favored Meng Yun over Meng Suyin. But that didn't mean that he wanted to hurt Meng Suyin now either. So although Meng Suyin liked Feng Mingli he didn't want to break her heart and tell her that she could never be with Feng Mingli. Feng Mingli was engaged with Meng Yun and that engagement couldn't be broken just because Meng Suyin liked him.

Meng Jianyu vowed to himself that he would help Meng Suyin get over him and find her another guy she could be with. That guy would have to pass all his tests though. Because Meng Jianyu wouldn't allow just any guy to be with his sister. He already felt bad about his attitude towards Meng Suyin for the past few years, and he didn't want to do worse and set her up with a guy that could break his sister's heart. Then maybe after that when she's no longer in love with Feng Mingli, he could try and help the sisters repair the relationship between themselves.

He didn't want them to have a strained relationship between themselves for the rest of their lives. So he also vowed to one day try and rebuild the sibling relationship between the three of them.

Meng Suyin woke up a few hours after her fever broke. Meng Suyin looked around and saw that she wasn't in her room. She looked around further and saw five people. Four of them she recognized, but the last one she didn't. He looked like a doctor though so she could guess why he was here. The last four were Feng Mingli, Meng Jianyu, Fan Ling, and Meng Yun.

Meng Suyin looked at the four of them and said," What happened? Where am I?"

Feng Mingli walked up to her and she could see that he looked very tired. He looked like he hadn't shaved because he had stubble growing on his face. His hair was messy and his eyes had bags under them.

Feng Mingli said," You passed out from exhaustion so I took you to my room to get your shoulder treated. After the doctor came, you had a very high fever so we spent two days taking care of you until you broke out of it. It's been three hours since then. I know you might want to take a shower but you should wait a little and have something to eat first to recover your strength before you attempt that. We did wipe your body down but we didn't look at anywhere we shouldn't."

Meng Suyin nodded and quickly thought of something as she looked at Feng Mingli's appearance.

So she contacted Li Huo and Li Nui as she said, ' Is there anything I should know about while I was unconscious?'

The two appeared and Li Nui flew over and hugged her neck as she said," I'm glad you're okay. I was very worried.... Sorry I got distracted, now to answer your question, Feng Mingli's affection level rose to 25. While you were unconscious. Oh, it just rose to 30 when you woke up. I guess he was very worried."

Meng Suyin said,' Why didn't I hear it ding when I woke up since the affection level had just risen?'

Li Huo just looked at her arrogantly as he said," I turned it off since it was annoying to hear when you weren't even awake anyway."

Meng Suyin just gritted her teeth and said okay when suddenly the door to the bedroom opened and in walked her parents.

Lu Shi looked around and said," What are you all doing here?"

Feng Mingli said," We're watching over Meng Suyin. She just recovered. Where were you anyway? It's been two days and you're only coming now."

Meng Jingxi said," There was a last minute problem at the company so we had to stay at the company for the past two days to fix it. So we ended up missing the party."

Meng Yun just frowned and said," You didn't miss much anyway. The party ended early after Meng Suyin fell unconscious."

Lu Shi glared at Meng Suyin and said," So you did end up ruining the party. I knew you would do this. This is why I wanted you to just stay in your room."

Feng Mingli said," It wasn't her fault. Fan Ling got one of the guys at the party to throw her in the pool."

Lu Shi shrugged and said," So what, she could have just swam up."

Feng Mingli scowled and said," She can't swim. She even tore open the wound on her shoulder struggling to surface."

Lu Shi said," Oh, well she's okay now so just let it go."

Feng Mingli just stood there for a couple of seconds. Nobody knows what he was thinking but Meng Suyin heard a familiar ding.

' Plus 5 points. New affection level: 35.'

Feng Mingli just nodded and said," Okay that's fine. But, Meng Suyin is no longer staying in this house."

Lu Shi just said," Then where's she going to stay?"

Feng Mingli said," With me."

Meng Jianyu and Meng Yun both said," WHAT!!!!!," while Meng Suyin just sat there shocked.
