Chapter 6: Bozo's run to save his life. Hidden Quest's reward is just too awesome!
Seeing the skills pop up and the reward of being able to choose a skill, Bozo was all the more excited. He had felt the effects of the skills in a foreign body. Now it was time to do it on his own.
But there was a problem.
He was right now in a pile of goblin bodies and a lot of humans had gathered nearby, chatting with each other.
As a matter of fact, escaping the place became his top priority. But how could he do it?
Without a doubt, the humans were extremely strong... so they might even sense the slightest of movements.
As he thought about it, he remembered about those goblins who tried to ambush them. They were so perfectly blended with all the other bodies.
One of the main reasons why Bozo was unable to detect those goblins previously was because not only did they simply lie down, they had coated themselves in the blood of their comrades.
Adding to that, the goblins had already withstood a few attacks and had injuries, therefore, they indeed seemed like dead bodies.
Bozo, who suddenly recalled that, realized that the only way to escape right now was behaving like a corpse.
A few humans were pulling the bodies and cutting their ears. Right after that, they were throwing the bodies into pits that they dug.
'I still don't understand, why they require our ears. I mean, if that's all they wanted, then we could have always offered them happily. If that was enough to bring peace, then-', Bozo was lost in his thoughts.
There was a battle in his mind. He questioned the humans' actions.
But no matter how much he thought about it, he couldn't find an answer. Instead, he now looked ahead, at the humans with minimal movement. He didn't give a dense gaze filled with hatred as they would detect even that.
He had but one plan in mind… ready to sever his body parts. So how would he regain them? From regeneration.
'I choose Adaptive Regeneration.'
Ding!
[You have acquired a new skill: Adaptive Regeneration (A)]
Bozo, never in his wildest dream would imagine that by choosing a reward, he would be getting something else!
Ding!
[You have completed a hidden quest: I have acquired my first skill!]
[Rewards: 10 stat points; infinite HP, MP and Stamina for 10 minutes.]
[Note: You may claim the rewards. Check your profile to understand what to do with the stats.]
Bozo did not have the time to go through all that… or did he? His life depended on these things, so it was obvious that he had to check them. But the humans kept pulling one by one, a goblin corpse and disposing it.
About just two layers remained above him and the next could probably be him. Therefore, he had to hurry.
'Profile…', as he thought to himself, the screen reappeared.

He went through everything quickly and realized what stat points meant. Other than that, he looked at the skill's info and couldn't help but curse himself again and again.
'Why did I assume that if the skill worked for the Ogre, it would work for me quite easily?', he cursed at the stupidity but at the same time acknowledged the lesson learned.
Thankfully, the hidden quest provided an infinite MP, and stamina, essential for the usage of the skill.
'Huff… I have no other option then.', Bozo knew that he didn't have enough strength to rip his arm out, so he had to take an external help.
Bozo wanted to wait for the humans to get tired and go away, but they just kept coming. He cursed himself as to why he didn't escape previously!
Biting his lips, he was ready to face the challenge ahead.
The bald man lifted one of the corpses and threw it to the side as if passing to his mate who was chopping the ears. Bozo was right under that, he was next.
Just like a doll, he pretended to be immobile. He was just worried about one thing… detecting his heartbeat!
Goblins had naturally cold bodies despite the warm blood within. So the temperature didn't matter. What actually did was the heartbeat!
All Bozo could do was pray for them to not detect… sadly, that didn't happen.
The moment the bald man touched and lifted Bozo, he instantly sensed the increased heart rate and blood pressure. Bozo's worry only escalated this.
Seeing that the goblin's eyes were closed, the Bald man made no sound and grabbed the hilt of his sword with his left hand, ready to strike any moment.
But Bozo, aware of such a happening, pulled two bodies from beneath and tossed them towards the man, their work was to obstruct the bald man's vision and hamper his movements.
It worked as the green blood directly fell on the person's eyes, causing a sharp pain as a monster's blood acted like a toxin to humans!
"ARGH!", he swung his sword in all directions as he screamed with his eyes shut.
About forty humans were camping not too far, just ten metres ahead and one more male was helping the bald man in cutting the ears. All of them heard this scream and turned towards him instantly, only to notice a scrawny little goblin, with the evilest smile possible, jumping to the ground and running away.
"You!", screamed the other man as he grabbed his chopping knife by the hilt.
Aiming at Bozo's back, he threw the blade like a javelin.
'Use 8 for agility and 2 for strength.'
Ding!
[Agility: 0.5 -> 8.5]
[Strength: 0.2 -> 2.2]
Gathering immense strength in his legs and increasing his agility tremendously, Bozo, at the moment, almost became one of the fastest goblins in the world - dodging the attack with ease and proceeding to run away.
There was no way he would stop now, but his stamina will drain within a minute or two. This is where his second reward came into the picture.
'Claim the second reward.'
Ding!
[Your HP, MP and Stamina have become Infinite for 10 minutes.]
Thanks to this, he never stopped. He kept running as if he was dancing and racing with the wind. A smile appeared on his face as he felt the gushing wind and it remained until… A spear came piercing him in the back, and proceeding to drive a hole in his heart.
"Cough-"
Bozo fell on his side with his gaze fixated on the spearhead. A little up and he noticed the human female who came walking towards him. It was the same woman who had previously dragged him away.
And the last thing that he noticed was nothing but the woman's agility.
[Agility: 45.9]
"…"
Ding!
[Ogre401 has regained his stamina. Do you wish to simulate?]
