EXT. BEACH DAY

Ryan strolls along the sea, lost in his reverie. He sits on the sand, staring at the horizon while pulling out a joint.

He lights it against his lips and inhales deeply, lost in his reverie.

3 WEEKS AGO

EXT. BEACH - DAY

Ryan's eyes fixated on the sea. A kid is drowning; his head bobs against the waves.

Ryan is closest to him but he makes no effort to move or stop staring.

A Humanoid faceless creature stands against the blinding light hallucination that overpowers Ryan. The creature seems to hold the kid in the sea.

A man runs towards the sea grabs hold of the kid and swims to the shore.

The creature disappears.

EXT. CAFE - NIGHT

Ryan enters the cafe.

Ryan chugs the beer one after one, the bottles pilling up on his table. DEEP TORMENT reflecting off every contour of his face. He is the only quiet figure in the cafe where everyone else is having a blast. As soon as he finishes his drinks, Ryan goes to the restroom.

Ryan spots MELISSA. He walks past her, but after taking a few steps, reconsiders and approaches her.

RYAN

Hey, how are you?

Melissa is startled and turns around, hiding the LSD.

MELISSA (suspicious)

RYAN (surprised)

EXT. STREET - NIGHT

MELISSA (sarcastic)

MELISSA

A rave party is happening in full swing next to the sea. They both walk to the bartender.
