"Fumiko actually knows that firsthand. Being selfish is not entirely bad, as she had to make a lot of decisions for her country to thrive even though she knows that it might be a selfish one." Yuki said as she looked at Fumiko who was just in the kitchen cleaning their dishes and when she heard her name getting mentioned, she looked towards the two with a confused face as she wasn't paying attention to what they were talking about.
"It's nothing, I was just making an example out of you. Don't worry though it's nothing bad." Yuki explained with a light smile on her face when she saw Fumiko looking at her with a suspicious look on her face.
"It better be, hhmmp!" Fumiko turned away with her cheeks blown away and when Yuki saw this she was merely shocked at her as she had already said that it was nothing but, even a good example. But it seemed that she did not believe her, but she couldn't do anything to her for now so she was thinking of punishing her later while putting all of her focus on the woman who was in her lap who seemed as if she was about to cry in a few second now.
"Do you understand what I'm trying to say, Kurokami?" After hearing nothing but silence, Yuki got worried that Kurokami might be getting anxious or depressed now because of what she said to her. But she couldn't bear to lie in front of her so she just decided to tell the truth, or at least what she thinks about this matter, because she thinks that it would help more than being considerate and lying to her face.
"Yes… I understand you. I just can't put it into perspective if that makes any sense. But now that I'm thinking about it, all of my actions were made for the same reason, I always put others first before myself. But even though I was doing that, I'm always happy, and I feel fulfilled whenever I help someone. I can't even remember doing something selfish that only benefitted me." Kurokami answered as she quietly looked at Yuki.
Yuki was silent at this and she began to think of her time with Kurokami and if she really never did something out of selfishness, but no matter how hard she thought she couldn't think of anything, and it didn't help her the fact that she doesn't know anything beyond past the time that she met her. That annoys her because she knows that she can't say anything to her.
Just as she was about to give up and just risk it by lying, she remembered something that had happened just a few days ago, and when she remembered it, it put a wide smile on her face that made Kurokami confused while being concerned at the same time.
"You already did something selfish you know? The time when you basically disobeyed or maybe ignored Skadi's words. You know… like when the time she talked to you to break up with me because I'm not good enough for you and that we are not compatible because of our views of life." Yuki smiled as she placed her hand on her back while rubbing it slowly.
When Kurokami heard those words her eyes widened in shock as Yuki was right, there was a time when her grandmother wanted to talk with her about her relationship with Yuki. At that moment, Skadi was trying to convince her to break up with her because she saw nothing but trouble if she stayed with her, but she just decided to ignore her because she already felt that she was old enough to make decisions for herself.
Remembering this, it seemed that Yuki was truly right. Because she ignored her grandmother and her selfish desire which was to stay with the woman she loves, and when she came to this conclusion, she couldn't help but smile to herself.
"See? I'm right and you know it. That was the moment when you knew that you were selfish and I'm here to prove to you that defying Skadi and her words to you is worth it. I'll make you, no the both of you the happiest woman." Yuki said with a calm look on her face.
Meanwhile, Fumiko who was still cleaning the dishes couldn't help but smile at the words of Yuki, and just as she was about to comment on it, she felt her whole body being dragged towards where Yuki and Kurokami were. It didn't even take 5 seconds and she was already sitting beside Yuki who already had her arms around her waist.
"You are so cheeky, you know that?" Kurokami who listened to Yuki word by word was speechless and she couldn't help but cup both of her cheeks before leaning into a kiss and pulling away as she just lay on her chest feeling all of the warmth and love that Yuki was giving them.
"Fumiko, sorry if I pulled you here. But I do want to ask you a question, though it is more of a request. Do you think you can make me a 10-15 item Menu? I still don't have any idea what I should put down on the Menu and considering you are our Chef, do you have any idea?" Yuki asked as she turned towards Fumiko and hearing this, Kurokami's ear perked up.
"I don't… I don't know any dishes that have blood in it. I only know the food that we have in our world." Fumiko answered with a sigh and she was not lying, because she truly didn't know anything, and she didn't even eat blood. Her first time eating was not something worth noticing as she hated it.
"You actually don't need to have any blood in your food! If you can get a high-quality wine that is made with blood. Then that will be good enough because that is actually how people like it." Kurokami advised and when Yuki heard it she felt it was actually a smart idea and she just patted her head before thinking of ways how she could put blood into her wine.
"Well… I'll just make my own wine. I already have some wine with me already, if I can somehow mix blood with it and make it delicious, then it would be good. The main goal of this restaurant is to serve anyone, whether it is the lower, middle, or upper, none of it matters." Yuki said in a confident tone as if she had already a way even though there was no plan at all.
But the reason that she wasn't worried was just that she still had a lot of free time and even though it was just basically a month, for her it was more than enough. The only thing that she is really waiting on is the furniture and when that time comes, everything will already be done and ready.
