Yaoyao who had just awoken from her sleep immediately went to Yumie's head before taking a comfortable position and going back to sleep again and this action caused the two to gasp in shock. They had already assumed that she was dead because of the rumors that they had been hearing, yet Yaoyao was here and was sleeping on top of Yumie's hand.
With shaky hands, Yumie gently picked up Yaoyao from her hand which woke the little bird again, but when it finally realized whose hand she was lying on, she flew up in the air before flying straight into Yumie's chest, almost as if she was trying to hug her. When Yumie saw this, the tears that she was holding back finally came down and she hugged the little bird tightly in her arms, but it was just her who was crying at this point. The usual tough Katsumi also began crying as she joined in the hug.
Yuki and the other two just looked at each other before smiling to themselves and letting them have their own time as it looked like this was the only thing that they needed for now, the two had thought that Yaoyao had already passed away because of their mistake. The guilt that they were carrying was simply too much for them to bear but even so, they held on strong because they remained true to their Mother's teachings that they should never get the emotion ahead of them at any cost.
But now all of that guilt went away as soon as they saw Yaoyao alive and well, they felt like the rock that was crushing their heart all went away.
"I found her, well that is not really true actually. She was the one who found me, it seems that she remembered my smell, and decided to track me down. But when I saw her she was all bloody and she got injuries all over her body, then I found out that the Nobles were hunting her down. I'm assuming those people are the ones who fought with you?" Yuki asked with a calm voice when she saw the three slowly separate themselves.
Even though it was just a small nod from the two, that was more than enough for Yuki to know what kind of dirty deeds did the Nobles tried to do to her precious daughters and pets. She doesn't even care at this point what kind of damage they did to them because no matter what happens, she will return it to all of them.
"No need to explain further to me, just your confirmation is enough for me. Also, if you want the, two of you can live with me from now on. This house is big enough anyways, but don't worry I won't meddle with whatever you are doing, I will only move unless you ask me to." Yuki said as she patted both of their heads before inviting all of them to go back down once more as there was something that she meant to do when she invited these two back to her house.
"This may be the only time that I'm going to break my promise, but I believe that it is worth it," Yuki said as she turned on the computer that was already set up before calling a certain number and when the other people saw it, they couldn't help but be shocked.
Yuki had already said before that they should refrain from calling Aika because what she needed the most was independence, but calling her at a time like this might also be just a good idea because it might be something that the sisters want to do since it has already been a couple of weeks since they talk. So a change of fresh air will definitely do a lot to all of them, not just for the little girls, but also for Yuki because out of everyone, she was probably the most worried one everyone.
It had been a long time since she had a talk with her and she already missed her a lot, but she wasn't worried that much, she only missed her. But after knowing what happened to Yumie and Katsumi, she couldn't help but get worried for Aika's safety because she was even more sensitive than the two, she was not like them, she was still young. She wasn't even normally like this where she was overthinking, but after having a family that she could truly treasure, she felt that all of the promises that she made when she was young were all breaking apart.
After a couple of rings, the other side finally picked up, and when Yuki saw the familiar yet unfamiliar look of the little girl in front of her, she felt something deep inside her heart that she couldn't truly explain herself. Even though it had only been less than a month since she arrived at Nightingale, she felt that it was more than that when she looked at Aika who looked as if she had grown a lot in that short amount of time.
"Mommy? Why did you call? This wouldn't take the limited calls that I have to call you right?" Immediately after picking up the call, Aika was confused but she was also glad that her Mommy called, though she was still pretty worried that this call might use the limited chance that she got.
"Don't worry, baby. It won't since I'm the one who initiated the call. There's no reason, I just wanted to talk to you because I missed you a lot, but before I talk to you, is your Mother home? I would like to talk to her first and in the meantime, you can talk to your sisters, Kurokami, and Fumiko." Yuki asked as she wanted to give all of them the time that they needed while she inquired for updates from Amane.
"She's here, Mommy. But how will you call her?" Despite asking her Mommy, she still called Amane over so that she could speak with Yuki as she requested.
"I also gave her a phone just in case something like this happened, since she's here tell her that I will be calling her from her phone, and in the meantime, have fun chatting with them. Don't worry, I will not be gone for too long." Yuki smiled as she excused herself and let all of them chat for themselves before grabbing her phone to call Amane.
Since she was already alerted, as soon as Yuki called, it was immediately picked up by Amane.
"Sup, it's been a long time. How have you been, you didn't receive any backlash from what happened?" Yuki asked as soon as the call was active. She was generally curious about this as in her whole life this was the first time she had tried to revive someone from the dead. Because from what she is reading, there was a chance that the body of the revived person would be weaker than most people.
"I'm fine, nothing too much changed about me apart that I'm weaker. But that is just about it, it's completely normal. As for any backlash, I don't think there are any. My cultivating speed is still the same as before, so that is a good thing, how about you, is everything all right there? I don't think that you are the kind of person who will call for something like this." Amane asked as she felt that it was weird.
"Well… there are some things that happened. I just found out that Yumie was sexualized by a pervert and this time even worse than the experience that she got when she got imprisoned by the Royal Destruction. So I thought that calling Aika would help calm her down and even elevate her mood." Yuki answered with an emotionless tone.
"I see… that is unfortunate. But it's good that you called Aika because she is getting stronger by the day. Even though at first she was having a hard time adapting, it didn't take long for her to get used to it, now even everyone from my palace absolutely adores her." Amane sighed before she began to update Yuki on what was happening on their side since there was nothing that she could do about Yumie's matter other than sending her best regards.
"Palace? You already died once and you still have a palace? Or did Alisha give you that as a place for home? I'm sure that all of the people were shocked when they saw the Fairy Saintess to be still alive even though everyone knows already that you have died."
