Chapter 10...🔥

When Madeline and I got back to our dorm , we went straight to our separate beds to rest.

"Your friends seem fun. Especially stacy." I say to Madeline while lying flat on my bed.

"Yeah. They can be crazy sometimes. Most especially stacy." Madeline said and chuckled.

There was silence for some minutes until I decided to break it.

"Do you think I'll be okay here?" I asked Madeline.

"Yeah. I think you will. All you have to do is accept the fact that you will be okay. It's all on you now." Madeline said to me.

"Thanks. For today." I said and turned over to her.

She faced me as well "You're welcome. I'm glad you're here. Anyways, have a good rest." she said to me before turning her back on me.

A few minutes later, I heard her little snoring.

'This place might not be that bad afterall' I thought to myself.

I was in a tunnel, running for my life. It seemed someone was chasing me. I ran and ran till I got to the end of the tunnel, there was no way out and I was trapped.

The person chasing me finally caught up to me. I couldn't see the persons face. He or she was in a long hooded robe.

"Who are you? " I asked the figure.

I saw their shoulder moving up and down as he or she was laughing at me.

"What do you want from me?" I asked again but that only increased their laughing.

"Stop laughing!!" I yelled at the figure and he or she stopped abruptly.

"Now tell me who you are." I said to the figure.

"You shouldn't have come here." the figure finally spoke to me.

Suddenly I felt my blood stiffening in my body. I couldn't move my body at will anymore.

"What are you doing to me?" I muffled out.

"You belong to me now. And I will use you as my pawn." the figure said and started laughing out loud.

I knelt down unwillingly as I felt like I was being puppeteered.

"No no no! Stop no!!" I was saying it over and over again.

The next minute, I felt someone shaking me.

I gasped as I almost jumped out of my bed.

"Cassie! Are you okay? You were yelling and crying while sleeping. I had to wake you up." Madeline said to me with her face filled with worry.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to disturb you. I just had a bad dream." I said still trying to understand what that dream was all about.

"It's okay. What was it about?" Madeline asked me.

"It was about..." I looked at her for a few seconds."I can't remember." I said to her.

It's best I kept it to myself. I didn't see the face of the person who attacked me in my dream.

I don't want to take any chances.

"Oh. Is that so? It'll probably come back to you later. Just tell me when ever you remember. Okay?" . Madeline said to me.

"Ofcourse." I replied.

"And we have to get ready for school. Today is a big day for you. You'll find out more things about this school." Madeline said and went straight to the window to open it wide.

The brightness from outside the window overwhelmed my eyes, I had to look away.

I laid back on my bed and covered myself with my blanket over my head.

"Hey! No no no. You have to get up. Go get ready." Madeline said and dragged away my blanket from me.

I sigh out loud.

"I hate school. Magic or no magic." I said and stood up. I went into the bathroom to take a shower and brush up.

When I came out, Madeline was already dressed up in her green uniform. Her hair packed up in a cute ponytail.

I picked something nice from my closet and wore it.

"So, you're probably going to get a lot of stares thus you not wearing a uniform. But hopefully when your element is discovered, we'll know for sure the colour that represents it." Madeline said to me.

"Right. That's if You guys got the right person." I said and Madeline rolled her eyes.

"You're set. Let's go." she said and slightly pushed me out of the room.

When we got to the class, We took our seats and waited for the teacher to show up.

I looked around the classroom and saw some sand and gravel packed by a corner. There was something like a fountain of water too. And a fireplace as well.

Everything about the classroom looked old-school. Just like that clinic did.

I looked over to the students. Some were wearing a Red uniform, some on Blue and some on grey. Then green just like Madeline.

Someone caught my eye. The handsome boy that was fighting with the blonde guy in the cafeteria... Damon I think.

He was wearing blue.

I stared at him for some seconds before looking away. If really he was trouble, I intend on staying away.

After some minutes past. An older man came into the class room.

I assumed he was the teacher.

"Everyone. Sorry I'm late. I was in a meeting." the man said while dropping his bag on the table.

"So today, we'll be learning control. Control of our powers. Yes I know we have this great power but how often do you let it control you instead of you controlling it. Today we'll see how much control we have over it." the teacher said.

He wanted to say something but his eyes met mine and he paused for a second before recovering.

He continued talking about control.

I was thankful he didn't try to get me to introduce myself.

He went to the first student. "Now everyone, I want you to create a man riding his horse with your elements. Control your power and make it do what you wish." the teacher said.

Everyone's hands got into mid Air.

I looked over to Madeline. Her hands was also in mid Air. I watched what she was doing closely.

Particles of sand were moving close to each other. It was in rapid motion. I watched the particles closely, and I saw it take the shape of a man on a moving horse.

I was amazed. I looked around at everyone's creation, and it was a beautiful sight.

I saw the same image in form of fire, water, earth and Even Air.

"Very good everyone! Good job. Now let's see The image of a boy playing football." the teacher said and again I was amazed at what I was seeing.

I felt somewhat useless being here. There was no way I could do something like this.

After the class, I told Madeline that I needed some air. I went outside to take a break.

It's not easy seeing this type of things happen before your eyes.

I was staring into oblivion until I felt someone watching me. I couldn't see who but I felt I was being watched.

I walked quickly until I entered one building. I went to the balcony of the building and surprisingly saw someone else there.

His back was turned to me so I cleared my throat and he turned to look at me.

It was him. The blonde fire boy.

"Um sorry I didn't know someone was already here." I said to him.

"Its okay. I was leaving." he said and was about to go.

"I saw you at my house." I blurted out.

"Yeah. I know." he replied.

"I also saw you at the cafeteria." I said to him.

"I know." he said with a straight face.

I looked down at my feet but when I looked up ,he was gone.

I was kinda disappointed. I went over to the balcony edge.

I heard something sparking and I looked up to see fire. I was scared for a minute but then the fire quickly turned into a shape of a flower.

I was amazed at the sight. I looked down from the balcony and saw him looking up at me. We stared at each other for some seconds before he walked away.
