The next day, before dawn,
Ning Xi was still deep in slumber when suddenly, her phone rang.
Groggily, she picked it up and saw that it was a call from her homeroom teacher, Xiao Hongyan.
Ning Xi certainly didn't dare to delay, and hurriedly answered the call, asking, "Teacher Xiao, it's so early, is there something wrong?"
While speaking, Ning Xi yawned, glancing at the time—it was not even six o'clock yet.
The usual time to arrive at school was around eight o'clock.
From the other end of the line came Xiao Hongyan's voice, "Student Ning Xi, did you also sign up for the outdoor survival competition?"
Ning Xi nodded, replying, "Yes."
The competition was one that Chen Hao had insisted on her joining, saying it would earn her extra points for college entrance exams.
Without much thought, she had agreed to participate. After all, treating it like a field trip for just two or three days didn't seem like a big deal.
