The Chosen One

Two weeks later...

Rosenea looked at her spear and sighed softly. She closed her eyes and wished she could use it without worrying about becoming the next Great Tree. She heard walking and opened her eyes, noticing Cordelia walking to her.

Cordelia was the Princess of Atlantia and the Guardian of the Water Medallion. She had hair and eyes as blue as the ocean and carried a longsword by her side named Tsunami. She wore a beautiful blue battle dress, and wore her crown on her head.

"Why do you still carry around Gaia if you're afraid to use it at all? It's literally one of the most powerful weapons on Earth and you're just letting it collect dust." Cordelia said and sat beside Rosenea.

"Sometimes I ask myself if I'm ever truly worthy of such a weapon and Crest like this. I don't deserve Gaia nor the Crest of Botany. I'm too much of a coward to even use my full power even when it's needed most. I'm truly...pathetic." Rosenea smiled and looked down.

"You're not pathetic, Rose. You just need a confidence boost. I know it's hard losing your sister and Guardian, but you can't put yourself down. We all have to play our part." Cordelia smiled and held Rosenea's hand, comforting her.

Rosenea looked at Cordelia and smiled. "Alright.."

"Alright crew! We are almost at our destination! Our battles have been tough but from this point there is no turning back in this war against Alastor! Ready yourself." Colt said.

"We are still missing three people. We need Kradia, Lucius, and Kieran." Ignatius said.

"They will show up in due time, for now we need to make way for Team Divinity's arrival here at the Regalia Dynasty." Avant said and crossed his arms.

King Icas looked down at the group from a tower. He smirked and summoned his sword. "I guess it's time...to shine." He said then jumped down the tower, summoning an army of darklings behind him.

Mom and the others finally made it to the White Frontier after countless days of travel. Passing through the Moonless Fields, Qurufu Town and then crossed the Khamu Border after stopping at the Seru Kingdom. This was the final location before reaching the Valley.

"Let's stop here.." Mom said as she carried me on her back.

"He's been out for a few weeks now. Are we still sure he's alive?" Hecate asked.

"I'm sure of it...I just wonder where his mind is at." Mom said.

"Shiryo." Alethea called out to me.

I opened my eyes and noticed the blue skies. I sat up and heard the sounds of water as I moved. I looked below me and noticed even the ground was the sky. I looked around noticing planets and stars in the light sky. I stood up and looked around.

"Where...am I?" I asked.

Alethea appeared in front of me. She had long wavy light yellow hair, bright silver eyes, and four white wings. She had a silver halo behind her head and carried a staff with a golden orb on the top of it. She wore a white dress, white arm sleeves, white stockings and shoes.

"Shiryo, you are in the Realm of Deities. A Realm only the chosen can enter. You are in Elysium." Alethea said.

I looked at Alethea and noticed land began to form as she shifted reality to form the actual world. "Elysium..? Wait I'm in the Promised Land?! Did I actually die?!"

"Your Flesh is alive, but your Spirit has ascended after reaching 100%. Shiryo this is a feat you've never been able to complete before. You reached the Promised Land." Alethea smiled and showed the world I was in.

I looked around and saw how perfect and beautiful this world was. "Where's Ain and the others?"

"Follow me, I'll show you to our Headquarters. Along the way I'll give you a run down about this place." Alethea said then walked ahead.

I nodded and followed Alethea.

"As you know now...this is Elysium, or the Promised Land. We deities reside here. This is where we are all physically located. Contrary to popular beliefs, I am not the true Ruler of Elysium. I am known as the most powerful Deity because of my ability to control Reality but even my power derives from a higher source. My boss is named Elysia. Her power is called Etherius Warping or commonly known as Surreal Warping. She is the Genesis and the Finale, and you can meet her today." Alethea said.

"Wait...I get to meet the woman who basically CREATED our universe?! Why haven't you mentioned her before before my fight against Galatea?!" I asked.

"Because she didn't see you as worthy of her presence. Yes you became the strongest mortal in the universe even defeating other universal threats, but she didn't believe you were ready for a meeting with us in person." Alethea said.

"What the hell did I do differently now that I didn't do differently before? Sounds like she's a picky one." I scoffed.

Alethea smiled and looked at me. "Well...You achieved Divinization."

"Divinization?" I asked.

"Before, you only had Divine Power, but you yourself didn't have Divinity. The aftermath of your Final Starfall attack, during the explosion, you awakened the Divinity that hid within you. You were able to awaken your Minor Crests into Grand Crests." Alethea said.

"Is this what you meant when you'd said, you all will be waiting? You were waiting for me to awaken my Divinity?" I asked.

"Yes. These villains on Earth...they are becoming terrifyingly strong because of Elysia's Twin Brother, Tehom also known as Khaos in his true form. They share the exact same powers except, Elysia preserves the peace and harmony between man and Deity. The Deities that follow in Elysia's faith reside here in the Promised Land. Those who follow in Tehom's cruelty and wickedness all reside in Niflheim." Alethea explained.

"I'm glad I follow in Elysia's faith because I do not want to spend time in Nifa whatever you just said." I said.

"We are here." Alethea said and showed a castle that was extremely large and pure white.

"Wow.." I said.

Alethea led me inside as the Elysian Guards opened the doors to the castle. We walked into the castle and she led me to the throne room. In the throne room resided Ain, Circe, Minerva, Galileo, Kamila, Su Ha, and Aleph. In the largest throne was Elysia.

I looked at Elysia and scratched my head. She looked like a young girl who seemed to be no older than 18 years old. She had a pretty petite figure and her white hair was styled in two pigtails. She had golden eyes and a heart marking under her left eye. She wore an oversized hoodie, a white skirt, and white boots.

"Are you serious?! You were hyping up this girl?!" I asked and pointed at Elysia as I looked at Alethea.

"That 'girl' is THE Elysia." Alethea crossed her arms and looked at me.

"Mr. Shiryo! I may look young in body, but I am in fact not a young girl! I would like it if you respected my status!" Elysia puffed her cheeks as she looked at me.

"I would listen if I were you." Ain said as he looked down at me. Ain had a menacing look to him and even sent shivers down my spine just to look at him. He had long black hair, shining green eyes, and extremely pale skin as well as pointy ears. He had smooth black horns on his head and wore a white cloak with ornate black designs on it above his ornate black shirt, pants, and shoes.

"She's the real deal, Shiryo." Circe giggled as she looked at me. Circe was a beautiful woman with long medium blonde hair, sapphire colored eyes, and a tiara on her head. She wore a royal blue and white dress and carried a staff in her hand as well with a floating blue orb beside her.

I looked at Galileo. He had black hair with a few white streaks in his hair and styled into a ponytail. He had light tanned skin, gray eyes, freckles on his face and wore glasses. He had markings on his body and they shined red. He wore a black button up shirt, black pants and shoes. He also had holographic interfaces in front of him.

Minerva had pink hair, purple eyes with orange pupils, and a sweet smile on her face. She wore a dark purple hoodie with her hood on her head, black leggings and white shoes, making sure she kept up with modern wear and mentality. I mean she is the Deity of Mentality so it made sense.

Su Ha had his eyes closed and had long silver hair. He wore a black and white shirt button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up, black pants and shoes. He had black gloves on his hands and was in his tranquil state.

Kamila was basically the female version of Ain except her hair what white instead of black and her eyes were purple. She had a halo over her head instead of having horns protruding from her head. She wore a pure white wavy dress with golden butterflies fluttering around her.

Aleph was the oldest one out of all of them. He had a stern look on his face and a sense of leadership within him. He had silvery gray hair with red eyes and his left eye was covered by an eyepatch. A visible scar was seen along the left side of his face. He wore a black kimono and had a halo on the top of his head.

"So do you know why I brought you here?" Elysia asked.

"Because I reached Divinization?" I asked.

"Yes! You don't understand how long I've been waiting for a mortal to reach this level of power! Someone who was worthy of my time. At first I believed your mother would've reached it or at least Lucius, but I had high hopes for you as well. You are by far my most promising mortal in a LONG and I want to see you win more than anyone else! Now I will overlook your rude comment about my appearance and grant you something special."

I looked at Elysia and watched her raise her hands.

"The Crest of Elysium. This Crest will grant you the use of a fraction of my power called Empyreal Manipulation. You are the second mortal to wield this Crest...and with this you'll be able to tap into your True Form and your original God Mode. Granted you still aren't strong enough to beat Galatea or anyone previous to her which are universal threats, but you will have enough power to kill Alastor and the Banished Legends just as long as they aren't revived at their full strength...especially Tehom." Elysia said.

The Crest of Elysium entered my body and I looked surprised. I grunted softly and looked at my hands and around my body. "Wow...I already feel like I used to before the Reset."

"One more thing! I want to give you these!" Elysia said then summoned a white and gold longsword and bow. She made them float down to me and I caught them. "The Sword and Bow of Elysium! A Longsword and Legendary Bow strong enough to kill the Banished and my brother. I can't fight because I'm actually too scared to face off myself. I don't want to get in the way and I don't even have any combat experience, but you do so that's why I'm entrusting you with these weapons. I am the Heart of the Universe and without me, our universe will die. You are our Guardian. Protect us, Use our power, Change the Fate of Divinity and master your power!"

I nodded then a bright light shined and I grunted as the light blinded me.

"I believe in you...We all do." Alethea said.

My spirit entered my body once again and I opened my eyes, noticing I was laying inside a tent. My head was on Mom's lap. She hummed a song and had her eyes closed. I listened to her and it was a beautiful song she hummed.

"You were chosen weren't you.." Mom said and opened her eyes as she looked at me, smiling.

"How.." I started then sat up. I looked at Mom and she looked at me.

"I see you bear the Crest of Elysium meaning the Legends are true. A True Hero before you wielded the Crest before passing away. You seem to be his Descendant..." Mom smiled and held my hand then closed her eyes. "You've seen the Promised Land...you are the Guardian of our Universe. The Guardian of Elysium."

I looked at Mom and looked at our hands. Her hands trembled and I sensed how scared she was.

"Because of that...you will be the most targeted being in the universe. All of Tehom's allies will come after you. I don't want to lose you...to lose one of the two most important people of my life. You are my child and to lose you." Mom said as she was shaking even more.

I placed my hand over hers then smiled at her. She opened her eyes and looked at me. "I promise you...I won't die. I killed Shidao...our curse is broken. Now it's time to save everyone else then kill Alastor. I follow in Elysia's Faith and I will protect everyone. This is my calling after all. I don't want to lose anyone else. I've already lost Fujo...and he isn't even dead."

"Mr. Shiryo can you hear me?" Elysia said.

I looked at my Crest as it began to shine. "Elysia? What's wrong?"

"You've got big trouble. The White Frontier...it's being surrounded by Darklings." Elysia warned.

I summoned my map and looked at it. The area we were in began to turn black. I looked up at Mom and she looked at me.

"What the hell are these things?!" Gideon yelled and sliced a Shadow Creature in half.

"These are Darklings! Someone is summoning them!" Phoenix said then looked around. She heard a laugh and looked in the sky. She squinted and looked surprised. "It's Fujo and he's with...Blight and Erin?!"

Fujo landed on the ground and smirked. "This is the final stretch. I've made up my mind...stopping you is my only goal! Now that Shiryo is out of the way...I can get things done! Revenge...will be mine! All associated with him shall perish!"

Fujo fired a massive dark beam at everyone. He noticed the beam get redirected to his Darklings and an explosion happened. He looked ahead and noticed me.

I glared at Fujo and transformed into my Level 1 True Form. My hair turned white and white wings emerged from my back. A halo appeared behind my head and I fused my Crests together to form the Grand Crest of Divinity then the Crest of Elysium shined on my hand. I summoned my sword and Blight looked surprised.

"The Sword of Elysium?! How do you have that blade?!" Blight yelled.

I glared at Fujo and got into my stance. "I am the Guardian of Elysium. I am the man of Divinity. The Hope of our Universe. I have this blade...because I am a True Hero just like the Legend. I am the Chosen One. I am Shiryo Serene! Fujo...the only reason you're still alive is because of Mom, but now I'm making my own choice. I will kill you..."

"Kill me..? HA! I don't care about your new transformation, it's all cosmetics to me! If you desire to kill me then bring it, but be warned. I'm way stronger than I used to be. More vengeful, more capable of killing! Face me!" Fujo laughed and his dark aura surged powerfully.

Kieran watched from the sky and Nightmare appeared beside Kieran. Kieran looked at Nightmare. "Call the army...We have to stop Alastor. I'm going to my friends." Kieran flew off and Nightmare disappeared.

"Mom, you and everyone else deal with the Darklings, I will finish...what I was supposed to end." I said.
