'I was right, I was right all along. She is not what we thought. She used us to carry out her orders,'
His institutions were right from the beginning, Aldina was not to be trusted, she had been a woman of manipulation.
She captured everyone in her trap of charm so no one would hold any doubt on her.
Coming to the moment, Yor clashed his sword with her staff furiously.
"I can't believe you were deceiving all of us!"
He was disheartened that of all people, she shattered Zephyr's heart and he would avenge his heartbreaking feelings.
He growled, rushing to attack her along with everyone hastily but she jumped in the air.
"What did I do? I haven't harmed anyone, have I?"
Chuckling at his disappointment, she had zero concerns about his wrath.
They were only forbidden to not harm the prince, the rest could take their final breaths right here for all that she cared about.
"You made Jonas, a nobody, to write the book and replaced with the generational book Queen Genevieve truly left behind,"
"So? That pathetic book only explains the kingdom and its matters."
She suppressed a chuckle, enraging him more at her comment.
"The one I replaced was much more fun, don't you agree?"
'She had zero concerns about that, meaning she was going to make him summon that dragon sooner or later.' Yor thought furiously.
She intended to manipulate him, there was no denial of it. Now or later, she was going to use her 'love' and summon it.
"Why?"
Yor understood completely what she intended to do but why they left unanswered.
"Hmm?"
"You had it in your mind all along, and could have used any powerful wizard for it- why him only?"
To which she smirked, pushing her hair behind.
"I obeyed orders to fulfill the summoning by a pure Sheria,"
A purest used which wasn't born for the past three centuries and five generations.
They marry at an early age, having a minimum generational gap.
"For his powers?"
"Maybe,"
"How dare you?"
And he cursed at himself for being ignorant towards it, for not noticing it before.
"You were planning all this and used Prince's love to your advantage," He growled.
Attacking her but she was the second strongest for naught and managed to evade all attacks gracefully.
Moving her staff, creating a pressure that threw all of them away.
"All of you combined cannot defeat, I believe we are aware of it,"
She smirked, before creating a mist and sending her mindless dolls to attack them for fun.
"That doesn't mean we will sit back," Jay hissed, killing the dolls, trying to find her.
Lowering her gaze, she placed her hand over her chest before leading those fingers to the air from where Yor came to attack her,
"Die, you vile woman!"
"Everything in this world is vile, Yor,"
"Huh?"
Letting out a low, soft, chuckle, she tapped her staff on the ground.
Everything disappeared, showing she was a master of deception.
There was nothing.
They were standing mindlessly where she threw them, failing to grasp that there were no dolls or mist.
Taking a deep breath, she decided she had played along enough and became serious, standing on top of a house.
"How undeserving,"
She saw the three men who were frozen before taking them out of the illusion.
"What the- what happened!?" They gasped.
Feeling their energy being drained and were about to fall but barely managed themselves.
"I am Aldina, Upper second commander of the Abyss,"
She glanced, moving her staff to the sky, creating a small circle which soon grew.
"If your fatuous perception believed to defeat me the consider it a fake consolation of your mind,"
"Like we would let you,"
Growling, Yor poured all his powers in his attack and jumped, clashing again that created a fierce impact.
Marcus broke the circle while Jay came from behind and was about to hit her with his spear.
Smirking at the attempt, she let go of her staff, moving to the side and curling her hand in a fist that froze their bodies.
'What- how?'
They couldn't fathom what happened to them as she suppressed a chuckle, placing her hand over her waist.
Watching them staggered, they thought she used fake images but then she told what her true powers are.
"It's not deception I create, Darling, I control minds, I control souls,"
Things made sense instantly. How did she live? She took over souls.
She made Jonas kill himself. She was using their minds.
No doubt, she was too deadly to be left alive.
They must eradicate such a malicious threat and fighting her was too hard.
Only a purest user, who could reflect her attacks, could do this.
Which was not them.
"What… then…?" Marcus paused, noticing the circle was spreading despite the endless attacks, rapidly growing over the village.
"Yes, that circle won't put them into deception."
Chuckling, she yanked her staff back from Yor and hit both men, throwing them far away in a distance.
Her smirk faded, turning in the direction of Quint.
"Tsk. what a weakling," She muttered, realizing he turned out to be a disappointment.
"No, no-"
Getting up, the warriors were about to rush and stop the overwhelming woman at all cost before everyone here lost their lives.
"You can't stop me,"
Enunciating, she created another grayish circle with ancient patterns from where a soul emerged with an appearance of a grim reaper.
"Kill them," She ordered the grim reaper coldly.
Pointing towards Marcus and Jay.
"Yor-"
"Don't worry, I will be alright. You focus on this thing," Yor reassured them.
"Okay,"
Rage boiling inside him, causing him to feel that he was the culprit.
That he failed as the knight. And it broke his heart, allowing him to convert his wrath into power.
Confronting Yor herself, she studies his expression, mocking them while declaring her dark intentions.
"This is it. Tonight, I am going to steal every soul here except Zephyr's,"
