Flashback 16- Meeting Ren Tao 2

When Belle started to take over her father's company, she was still in her college. At the age of 20, she was about to graduate with flying colors. Her university was so proud of her that they allowed her to graduate earlier than those who took Business Management courses.

She was a genius and she proved it by salvaging her father's dying business.

Adding with her achievements was her taking over as the CEO of Yang Empire, the university director was beaming with happiness because they produced such talented young woman.

Her great grandfather was the one who accompanied her and also he was personally invited by the director of the university due to his status. One could say that the old man had great contribution to the economy of Beijing because of his successful projects together with the government.

The school director was delighted upon seeing the old man's presence.

He approached the man and introduced himself.

"Good day to you Mr. Yang." but he only manage to say the greetings as the MC started the programme and he looked towards the stage with a frown. What a bad timing he had but since he started it, he can only leave when he finished.

The old man looked at the old man across him with a blank face.

"Same to you... Mr...?" the invitation was sent to him by his secretary and he really did not know the school director.

The director became flustered as he introduced himself once more.

"I'm Benedict Wen, the school director. Thank you for gracing us your presence Mr. Yang." he said amicably. He offered his hand for a handshake and the old man did give him some face by accepting it but that's just it.

"I'm just here for my great granddaughter. No need to fuss over this matter." he shortly said and did not utter any word after that. Director Wen was lost for words and wanted to continue their conversation but then, he was called by the MC.

MC: "Please welcome our school director, Mr. Benedict Wen to give us his inspiring message." A round of applause rang in the entire building where the commencement was held.

Mr. Wen looked at the old man and was reluctant to go up on stage. He really wanted to curry the favor of the old man to make him invest in the school but the timing was really off so he had to go.

Mr. Wen got up from his sit and walked towards the stage with a dignified aura. He walked briskedly towards the MC and proceeded to his speech without any haste.

On the other side of the building, a man who was skinny and had a round glasses propped himself in a corner as if waiting for someone. He had a two cases with him and many of the students often glanced at him to see if he will do something not good.

Based on his appearance alone, he can be mistaken as a psychotic stalker.

Ren sighed as he planned his ambush for Belle and the old man Yang. He already gathered information about them and they did not know any self-defense and martial arts and he knew that his job will be easier than ever.

If he only knew that Belle knew all this all along and just played an innocent young lady in front of everybody.

For how many times now, he sighed.

The graduation ceremony ended and many students got out from the building.

Belle and her grandfather stayed behind because the director insisted them. He wanted to create an opportunity for his school and a golden thigh was infront of him waiting for him to grab and hug it.

"Mr. Yang, if you don't mind, I would like to invite you for a lunch. I want to celebrate Belle's achievements with you.... If you don't mind." Mr. Wen said in the most polite way possible.

The old man had no reason to decline. Even though he was not well-acquainted by the school director, he was not that bad to decline his offer. Anyway, he was harmless, he could not do any damage to both of them.

The old man went along with the school director along with Belle on the side. She however, thought about the report she had received regarding his father wanting to assassinate her and her great grandfather but she never cared anyway.

Come what may.

As they were walking in the corridors of the school building, the school director proudly pointed out their first class facilities and her grandfather nodded and sometimes asked questions which the director answere eagerly.

Ren saw their small group and walked towards them. He had that murderous intent upon seeing Belle and her grandfather.

Belle on the other hand noticed him but she did not mind him. They just walked pass through him as if he was an air.

Ren's jaw dropped because his threat did not work.

When they walked pass through him, he unsheated his twin swords and attacked Belle from behind.

He was grinning with victory not noticing that the woman and the two men disappeared from his sight. He looked at a nearby bench and found the old man and the school director sitting at the bench while having their talk.

Belle was carrying her katana. This was the first time she used it because it was the gift of her master to her before she disappeared.

Ren, momentarily lost his focus but he recovered it before Belle could attack.

He was stunned upon seeing the woman who wielded her sword and blocked his attacks. It seemed that his source had just tricked him.

"I didn't know that the eldest lady of Yang household had such hidden talent in sword fighting?!" Ren said while blocking her attacks. He had that creepy smile on his face.

"Hmp! You sure don't know how to investigate your target." Belle snorted while she lunged another attack towards Ren.

Ren rolled his eyes while he blocked her attack but he did not saw that Belle's kick coming to his side.

He was hit by her kick and sent flying but Belle still continued to attack him, leaving no room to defend himself, the sword created a slash across his chest down to his waist and he landed on the floor with a loud bang.

Ren vomitted a mouthful of blood.

Belle approached him while dragging her sword that was spilled with blood. He panicked and thought he would die in that instance.

Never did he thought that Belle had a better proposal to him.

"How much that man offered?" Belle asked him. Ren was stunned and smiled bitterly. He was clearly played by this woman.

"20% of the share capital of the Yang Empire and ten million yuan." he answered while wiping his mouth with his handkerchief. He sat and waited for Belle to arrive before him.

"Not bad." Belle said while squatting down across him. She put down her katana and looked at Ren straight to his eyes.

"Kill that man for me and that 20% will be yours and you will be my assistant from now on. How's that sound?" Belle stated her proposal. "Also, I'll give you an initial bonus of 10 million yuan if you can send me his video begging for his life."
