"Oh Nahor, I think you have forgotten one thing about me. I never quit that easily and I will not just accept defeat so easily,"Jordan said.
Nahor was surprised to hear Jordan's voice. He had thought that Jordan had left. He then turned around and saw the Jordan who was back in the room.
"May I know what are you still doing here Jordan. I clearly remember telling you to leave. Now leave immediately or else!" Nahor angrily shouted.
He then continued and said,"You should leave before I lose my temper. Now get out. You should be glad that you are still in one piece. The only reason you are still in one piece is because you are my friend. Now get out before I change my mind!"
"Yeah you will do this and that to me but I do not care."Jordan mockingly said.
I remember telling you that I do not accept defeat that easily and I also remember telling you that I would not leave till you said yes. Now I still stand on what I said.
"Now listen to me Nahor. I know the way you hate being in debt to some body. But this time you will not be able to get out of this. You clearly owe me so much that your life is the only price that would pay for your debt. But you are very lucky because I do not want your life in return."
"What nosense are you talking about Jordan. I do not remember being in debt to anyone . Especially you"Nahor said. And if I may ask what is this that I am in debt to you?"
"I was beginning to ask myself if you would ever ask. Since you claim to have such good memory then you should remember that I saved your life one time when we were kids. And another thing I have been by your side since then. I have supported you and been with you in every situation whether good or bad.And now I want you to repay me for all my deeds!"Jordan said.
"When Nahor heard this he calmed down and said," You are up to something Jordan. Now you are you going to use my debt to your advantage aren't you. I will not refuse. I want to see where this is heading up to"
"State your claims. Nahor said.
Nahor was a kind of a person who did not want to owe anyone even his family. He knew that if he owed anyone they could use it to their advantage and take advantage of him. This time he did not refuse Jordan. He owed Jordan and to him he had to fulfill what Jordan wanted. This time he was captured in Jordan's trap. He wondered how Jordan had oversmarted him. He was in a real trap. There was no escape for him unless he accepted Jordan's claims.
"I have already told you Nahor and I want no other thing but that. Get married"
"Okay Jordan. Right now you have the upper hand but next time it will not be so!"
"But I would also like to have my say in this
"Okay then. State it,"Jordan said.
"If I find anythingg wrong with my new wife or I do not like her in anyway. Within a months time I will divorce her!"
Do you accept that Jordan? "Yes I do."But I bet you will not find anything wrong with her. Trust me."
"Is it a Deal," Jordan asked. "It is a deal. Nahor replied.
So Nahor and Jordan shook hands.
"Do I need to show you the door? Now leave my room!"
"I have no problem with that. See you tomorrow."
"Oh Nahor, remember this. You will not regret this decision later."l always pick the right choice. Trust me on this,"
With this, Jordan slowly moved out of the room but he then remembered something. He then stopped in his footsteps and said
"Nahor, I forgot to tell you. Your soon to be wife is actually an ordinary human."
"I hope it works out,"he said to himself.
"With those words. Jordan proudly walked out of the room. Ready to go brag his victory to Sami.
Jordan was sure that Nahor would not refuse his offer. He had thought of a way to convince Nahor but could not find one. He did not know what he was thinking when he had made that bet with Sami.it was clear to him that he was going to lose. He hated losing a bet. Especially if it was between him and Sami. He had almost given up when an idea suddenly popped into his head . He then remembered that Nahor hated being in debt. He thought of the perfect plan. He was sure he would convince Nahor and at the same time win the bet. He would be killing two birds with one stone. Jordan then remembered the look on Sami's face when he had said that he would lose.
He knew that his plan was going to work so he had headed for Nahor's room. He had been sure he was going to win the bet.
They had a bet whether Jordan would be able to convince Nahor into the marriage. If Sami knew Nahor that well. He sure did know that Nahor would not so easily accept. Sami had been Nahor's protector since his childhood. He had seen him grow into the man whom he was. He was sure that Jordan would lose the bet.
Previously
"Sami. We are doing this for the good of Nahor. I am going to convince him to accept this marriage. And I will make sure of that,"Jordan said.
"Jordan. Let it be. I know Nahor very well. I have seen him grow into the man whom he is today. If I know him very well, I am sure that you won't just tell him to get married to a stranger and he so willing accepts. Just forget about this. We will find another way,"Sami said.
"Sami. You have seen Nahor Nahor grow but I have been by Nahor throughout his childhood up to now. You have seen him grow but I have been with him grow. Believe me Jordan I know him better than you do. And if I know him I am sure that he is going to accept this,"Jordan proudly said.
"And you are sure of that,"Sami asked.
"Yes I am,"Jordan replied.
"Let's make a bet,"Sami said.
"What kind of bet?"Jordan asked.
"If I am right Jordan and Nahor does not accept this proposal. Then you will admit that I am better than you and you will have to listen to me every time but if you win..
"No. Stop there. I will be the one to decide my own side of the bet. If I win you will have to accept that I am always right and that younger people think more reasonably than elder ones. So you will have to accept being youth is better than being old,"Jordan said as he he put on a cunning smile.
"Okay Jordan. I accept your side of the bet. Why won't you ever stop tormenting me with all your talks. Wait until you also get older. But know this. You are going to lose.
"Sami. I sure will not. That is our bet. Wait until I come back to show you my victory,"Jordan said as he headed for Nahor's room.
