The generals huddle together real quick and converse amongst themselves before turning back to the teens and saying in creepy unison, "The Sage of Scarbrook."
The teens look more confused, "who?" They all say at once. The squeaky general is the one that responds, "all we know is the Sage of Scarbrook sent us. We think, or...we're pretty sure anyways. Possibly, probably...most likely?"
Rose asks, "where is this sage?"
The generals all shrug their shoulders. "Somewhere near a forest." "No, it was the sea." "No, the mountains covered in snow." "No dammit, it was near a hill."
Mary and Rose look at one another and immediately decide what to do. They usher the others outside, leaving the generals to bicker in their tent. Once outside, they discuss their plan.
"Look, we clearly need to find this sage person and find out what they want with our village. Obviously the generals won't be of any help," Rose explains.
"It is likely that the elder won't know anything either. Otherwise he would have sent us there instead. We will follow the tracks the army made to get here to figure out where they came from," Mary states.
