Arashi's Training Begins!

It's been two months since I got out of the hospital.

My voice has only slightly recovered, at least someone can hear me from a normal distance if they listen.

I've recovered some of my motor skills.

I can run more, walk more, talk more, and even jump and play around sometimes.

But my chakra control is still incredibly low because of the interruptions.

All that hard work before…

It was all for nothing.

Shisui, Kakashi, and Itachi have been helping me as much as they could through hard training. Sometimes I train by myself too.

Naruto would join me when training, and so would Sasuke, but they've left me behind.

They have nothing holding them back.

My condition gets worse every day because of the Rinnegan.

But other than that, I think I'm getting accustomed to living in the Uchiha compounds.

"Huff Huff Huff…"

Today, Shisui told me to run around the whole Uchiha compound, including the forest, but because of everything that happened last time, I'm not allowed to run alone so Shisui ran with me.

"Come on, let's go, we're almost there."

"We aren't even halfway, Shisui."

Shisui smiles,

"We won't get to halfway if you continue taking breaks like this, you're doing good, let's go."

We continued jogging around the forest; I was so exhausted I hadn't been this tired in so long. I haven't been this tired for such a long time…

Arashi continued jogging even when he was going through much pain. Arashi continued jogging and ignored the pain.

After 100 more laps around the Uchiha grounds, I had to carry a giant boulder on my back to reach the top of the Hokage statues.

"Come on, you got this!" Shisui shouted while at the top of the Hokage statues.

"Cough! Cough!" I wobbled a little as I coughed.

Shisui rushed to my side,

"Hey, you're coughing again."

"I'm fine."

"You sure?"

I nod.

Shisui put his hand on his chin and thought of something.

"Hey, once we're done here, I got a gift for you."

"Really big brother?" Shisui nodded.

"But only if you finish your training, deal?"

"Alright!"

I used all my chakra around my body and pushed through the pain.

I got it to the top, but now I have to get it back down.

"Huff… Huff…" Arashi pants.

'So tired…'

Just as I'm about to fall, I hit Shisui's back.

"You did well today."

"My gift…"

"Hahaha!" Shisui burst out laughing.

"Hey, what's so funny?"

"Oh, it's just that after all that training, I was hoping you'd be too tired to remember about your gift."

"Does that mean I'm not getting a gift?"

Shisui shakes his head,

"I'll live up to my word and I'll get you that gift after we have some lunch and after you take your meds." Arashi smiled and rested on Shisui's back.

'It isn't always like this. Big brother Shisui is always on a mission or something, but whenever he gets the chance, he wants to train with me. He's the best.'

Shisui and I ate lunch at Ichiraku Ramen.

After that, I took my medicine, and we walked back home.

"I bought this a few days ago. I wanted to give it to you on your birthday, but I thought it would be better if you earned it."

Shisui stated as he hid something behind him.

"You ready?"

"Come on, show me."

"Close your eyes."

"I hope this isn't a joke or something."

I cover my eyes with my hands.

"Well, this is something I've wanted to give you for a while, I got mine when I was around your age and I think it's time I got you your own.

Open your eyes."

Opening his eyes, Arashi's eyes glittered with joy.

"Woaah… is that… mine?" Arashi asks with a bright smile.

"Yes, this is yours. Your very own tanto." Arashi took the tanto.

"I'll be training you with it, and once you learn how to use ninjutsu again, I'll teach you ninjutsu you could do with this."

"Thanks a lot, big brother!" I hugged Shisui.

"No problem, just don't slack off now on training."

"I promise I won't."

"Good." Arashi let go of Shisui and stared at his tanto.

I swung the tanto downwards, and then he swung it backward.

"It's perfect, just like yours."

"The same, I looked for the same person who made mine and asked them to make another one for you. It cost little."

"Thanks again, big brother." Shisui smiled and then ruffled my hair.

"Someday, I'm going to shave your hair, it's gotten too long. Sadly, I won't have much to ruffle on, you know."

Arashi shook his head stubbornly.

"No way, because then people will… never mind…"

'He wanted to say something just now… I wish he could speak to me about how he truly feels.' Shisui thought to himself.

"Why don't you go play with Naruto and Sasuke?"

"I don't feel like playing with them.

I want to train with you, Shisui."

"You haven't played with either of them for a week. You keep on telling me to tell them you're feeling sick."

"I just… I just don't enjoy being seen like this, big brother. I'm so weak."

"Sigh…

You know I can never refuse training with you, Arashi."

"Will you train me how to use the tanto? Pleease, big brother!"

"Of course," Shisui responded with a smile.

Shisui trained Arashi for the rest of the day. Arashi was a natural with the tanto, just as he was in everything.

"You're doing well, Arashi, just remember not to overextend."

"Alright!"

I continued practicing.

"Heeey! Arashi! You're feeling better already?!" I stopped training once I realized whose voice that was.

"Naruto?"

"Yeah! I'm with Sasuke as well!"

Naruto yelled as he raced towards us.

"You idiot! Why do you have to always shout all the time?!"

"You're the one who's shouting right now, you know."

Sasuke grits his teeth.

"You're so annoying."

Sasuke folded his arms and looked away.

"Shisui, will Arashi be coming back to the academy?" Sasuke asked.

"He's right here, isn't he?"

Naruto and Sasuke stared at me.

"Well? When are you coming back?" Naruto asked.

"I-I'm not sure."

"Hey! I have an idea, why don't we train together?" Naruto suggested.

"Well, I-"

"I think this is a great idea, now you can see how well Arashi has been training, and I can talk to Itachi. He should be back from his mission by now." Shisui said before flickering away.

"Arashi, come see this new jutsu I learned from Itachi," Sasuke said.

"You learned a new jutsu?"

"Yeah, I just wish he could shut up about it."

"Admit it, you're just jealous you don't have a new jutsu to show off, Naruto."

"What?! That's not true!"

"You're so annoying!"

"It's not my fault you think too highly of yourself, you know."

I palmed my face, seeing them fight again.

'It's time.'

"Hey, do you have a bottle of water?" I ask.

"Yeah, here you go." Naruto gave Arashi a bottle of water.

Arashi reached inside his pockets and removed two white pills and an inhaler.

He drank his medicine and used the inhaler.

"Alright, let's have a spar, no ninjutsu, alright?"

Naruto and Sasuke nodded.

"Now you're talking," Naruto stated with a smirk.

I put my tanto in my satchel and stood back.

'I can't use chakra, they've probably learned a lot since we last did this, so I'll need to be careful, and outsmart them.

Naruto is good at fighting, and he has great instincts, better than all of us.

Sasuke can create tactics just as good as mine, that's not good for someone like me who already has a disadvantage.'
