Potencial and afinity

Time flowed, and two years quickly passed.

"Son, get ready, we're leaving soon."

"I'm coming," I exclaimed.

I was in my room getting ready at that moment.

Today was the affinity and potential test, so I had to dress up.

I looked at myself in the mirror to see if I looked presentable.

I went downstairs and found my mother standing there.

Anyway, the test will reveal it.

My mother and I stood in front of a magnificent white building with a giant sign that read "Lotus Association."

A man in a black suit said, "Liam Lewis, please come in."

Since only those taking the test could enter, my mother couldn't come in, so she bid me farewell with a hug.

That's right, the levels of affinity were divided into [low], [medium], [high], [innate], [semi-divine] and [divine], although only around 20 people have been recorded with a [divine] potential.

After finishing, Peter approached us.

"Well, it's not bad," I told him.

Peter seemed discouraged, but I didn't have time to cheer him up because it was my turn.

I approached the orb and without waiting too long, I placed my hand on it.

The orb glowed in an intense red, and the woman said, "High superhuman potential."

I felt satisfied and moved on to the next orb.

"Please, fire, I beg you," I prayed inwardly.

The orb glowed, and two colors appeared, a lush green and a deep black.

"Damn" I thought.

"Medium wind affinity and high darkness affinity," said the woman.

Returning to sit with my friends, they showered me with praise and congratulations.

Inside, I felt discouraged, but the truth is that having a high affinity in an element is very rare.

The higher your affinity with an element, the faster you unlock its variants.

The [Fire] element has [Lightning] as its variant, the [Water] element has [Vapor] and [Ice] as variants, the [Earth] element has [Gravity] as its variant, the [Wind] element has [Sound] as its variant, the [Darkness] element has [Shadow] as its variant, the [Light] element has [Reflection] as its variant, and finally, the [Mind] element has [Telekinesis] as its variant.

It seems like a good idea to be able to teleport through shadows, but honestly, I would prefer to be able to create a lightning spear.

"What can I do," I muttered.

Now it's only Anna's turn left.

Leo approached me with an arrogant smile.

"Whenever you're ready, we'll have a rematch," he whispered.

That made me tightly clench my fists. The truth is, I wasn't in a hurry to become strong, but because this jerk has higher potential, I'll make an effort to kick his ass.

"Anna without a last name."

"Wish me luck, guys," said Anna with a charming smile.

Anna placed her hand on the orb, and a purple tone more similar to black appeared.

The supervisor trembled, and for the first time throughout the entire examination, her expression was pure astonishment.

"S... Semi-divine potential, medium," she stammered.

Everyone in the room was stunned, including myself.

Then, in shock, Anna placed her hand on the affinity orb.

It showed an intense red color and an almost transparent white. The examiner was once again surprised.

"High Fire affinity and innate Mind affinity," she exclaimed, shocked.

"Well, that was certainly a surprise," I said.
