Rules for indifference (Rewritten chapter)

After my intense and painful mana poisoning session, I decided to poison myself slowly with time as there was no need for me to torture myself with mana poisoning without stopping and dropped myself to the bed. 

Well, morning came, and I woke up, releasing Lucy from my embrace before getting up without waking her. 

I stretched my limbs and began to walk to the training ground of the Ceurie mansion.

Yesterday I took a battle art from the Ceurie library and decided to train with it. 

Well, you can ask why I was training with weapon while I was mage. The truth is, in this world everyone can become strong as heck even with just body training. 

And the body I was possessing probably was the best body in this world among humans. And this means that even without becoming a knight or fighter, my genetics are good enough to allow me to become physically stronger

Anyway, I took out a dagger from my pocket and did the moves of the dagger art manual that I took. 

After some time, I decided that I had trained enough with the dagger art and dropped the knife to the ground before returning to my room.

I took a bath to clean myself from the sweat and wore some clothes. 

I looked at Lucy, who was still sleeping which was pretty strange as her normal waking time was more than 2 hours before. 

Well, I decided to tease her a bit to get her to warm up to me. 

I went to her side and croucher near to her ear, then I slowly bit her earlobe with my canine teeth. 

Lucy's eyes instantly opened and she was about to scream but I put my hand over her mouth effectively shutting her up. 

"Why are you still sleeping to this late, my dear, Lucy? Do you want to make father angry? You know that father is strict and traditional man, so we have to be at breakfast in the time with proper attires." I whispered into her ear. 

Lucy's face became red like that of a tomato and nodded shyly while looking at my teeth. 

After that, Lucy went back to her room to get dressed before heading to the dining room. 

We sat at the table and Count asked some questions about the dagger art that I practised. Probably he was curious about my sudden idea of practising a dagger art. 

I answered them like how the original Kayle would answer and live through the interrogation of the Count Ceurie. 

After breakfast, I returned to the library to read books about my affinities and the available magic. 

Affinities too are graded and this is the highest to lowest: 

Supreme > Superior > Grand > High > Medium > Low > None

And my affinities are:

Superior grade Ice, Grand grade Revelation, Grand grade Illusion, High grade Blood, Medium grade Sound, Low grade Time, Low grade Space 

Well, I could easily tell what would is do most of the affinities I have but I didn't have any guesses about Revelation, Blood, and Time elements. 

Thus I read the books that I found about them, though I couldn't find anything too much. 

For example with blood magic you can absorb blood, heal yourself or someone, attack with blood etc. 

With revelation magic you can reveal abstract things like fate, and destiny and communicate with divine being like Gods or Devils. 

However, I was unable to find anything about time magic. 

Afterwards I went to my room and took out a paper, then write some rules for myself. 

Why was I making rules? Well, it was pretty simple, it is to preserve my sanity after lifting this damn curse of mine. 

Yes, I was thinking of lifting this curse because I was bored as heck. For some reason boredom hadn't reduced like my other emotions. 

And why am I making rules for myself if I wanted to lift my curse? 

Because I was almost an ordinary human back then before transmigrating here, so if I massacred a entire town and lift my curse after that, there was a change for me to be overwhelmed by the guilt of massacring innocent people and kill myself. 

Anyway, my rules were simple. 

Try to avoid killing innocent people and children carelessly, limit the use of brutal torture, and do not rape anyone. 

Well I couldn't even feel lust so it was close to impossible for me to rape someone but maybe I could do it if it was necessary, so I decided to add this rule too. 

After writing some rules, I engraved them in my mind and burned the paper. 

Later I began to mana poison myself again.

Days passed but my days were still same. 

It was boring, too boring that I was thinking of committing suicide but I found something that diverted my attention. 

It was to tease Lucy. Yes, teasing with her was diverts my attention and even some of my emotions reacts to her embarrassment. 

There wasn't a vastly reaction on my emotions but it was like starving for days but finding a drop of honey and licking it. 

It was useless but it kept me to myself without killing myself. 

'Probably the original Kayle too was like me, eternally bored.' I guessed. 

'Probably that is the reason he gave his life to Lucy even though he wasn't feeling anything for her or anything in particular.'

'Will I too give up my life for Lucy because of these small emotional reactions? Probably not as I will be stronger than original Kayle with my knowledge of the novel.'

After thinking like this, I decided to check my mana poisoning progression. 

'Hmm, I got immunity to my mana at last.' I thought after seeing that my mana was entering my body without poisoning me. 

"Welp it is time for the [Mana Body] technique." I said it out and sat in lotus position. 

There was actually no reason for me to sat like this but I decided to act like 1000 year old cultivator to relieve my boredom. Though I failed miserably as I was still bored as heck. 

Anyway, the [Mana Body] was a technique that I still remembered from the novel because it was simple and very powerful. 

But no sane person practice this technique as it has requirement to immunity to their own mana. And normal person can't even properly gain resistance to their mana before going mad from pain. 

Alright, it was enough thinking for now, hence I began to dissolve my all of my mana circles, which were just 2 of them and poured the dissolved mana into my blood. 

After pouring slowly and cautiously for a while, my work was ended. 

My mana circles were no more and all of my mana were stored in my blood. 

And the mana in my blood will slowly transform my body with the blood flows through the veins and will make my body into the mana body. 

Mana body is like premium version of human body with strong and durable blood skin, muscles, bones, nerves, brain, organs, and eyes. 

For example I could use my blood as a mana potion if I purify enough. 

Though all of these changes would happen over the long years. 

And I had 1 and a half year for the traditional world exploration for the children of the Ceurie family. 

Ceurie family was the last information magic clan because all of the other clans was killed on the spot with the orders of the God of Knowledge, Enos. 

God of Knowledge was furious because some mortals were learning the secrets of the world with Information magic thus he put a kill order on all of the Information mages. 

And only surviving clan from the [Enos's Massacre] was the Ceurie family established a tradition to educate their children. 

That is to let them to the dark, dirty, sinful world with some defensive artifacts. 

'Well, I should just wait for year and pamper Lucy.'
