The Fight

Nikolei is younger than Gray but they have the same facial expression. Emotionless. He started discussing and maybe because of his attractive looks, almost half of the class are listening. But I can`t. His voice makes me sleepy.

I yawned and to my surprised the man looked at me. He must have caught me yawning, but I`m not sleeping! I`m really fighting with myself not to sleep.

"Who remembers what I said a while ago?" He asked but no one responded. He went to the table and get some index card and randomly picked one.

Oh god, that`s really a bad move for me. I closed my eyes as I prayed that it`s not mine. I hope it`s not me.

"Miss Vera." I exhaled and silently thanked whoever that Miss Vera is. But I felt bad when I saw Katerina stand. She looked at me asking but I looked away.

I`m sorry Kate.

"I-I`m sorry sir." She said shyly.

Nikolei looked at her sharply and I almost jumped to my sit when he faced me but I immediately looked away.

"Did you know that napping for six minutes can help improve your memory." I frowned and looked back at him.

Was that for me? I`m not even sleeping!

"I`m just saying that atleast six minutes before you attend class, make sure you take a nap. This is a school not a bedroom." After nagging, he dismissed the class.

I was walking alone in the oval near the benches where Kate and I agreed to meet. She went to our statistics` prof to passed her late homework a while ago.

When I was already sitted in one bench just near the exit gate, I saw Nikolei running towards my direction. He stopped right beside me while catching his breath.

"Hey, you`re Miss Ira, right?" I nodded but confusion ate my system. "Stop frowning, will you? Gray asked me to return this to you."

I was shocked to see that it`s my drinking bottle. What the hell? How did I left this? Physically, it`s just a normal bottle but what I`m worried is what`s inside of this.

Of course it`s not water! It`s blood for Pete`s sake.

I grabbed it and walked away. I`m really dead now. Did Mr. Hunter smelled the blood inside? Or this man, did he opened my bottle? What if they discover that I`m a v-ampire? Really Ira you`re so stupid.

"No thank you?" My heart jumped when I saw that he`s still beside me.

"I`ll thank Gray tomorrow." I said without looking at him. I continued walking a bit fast.

"Okay. Anyways," his voice was a bit intimidating, "what`s inside?" I stopped walking and started to feel uneasy. I inhaled and faced him.

"Why do you care?" I sounded like a spoiled brat.

"Nothing, but it feels like there`s something." I gulped because he looked so serious while talking.

I let out a chuckle. "Mind your own business," I stared at his eyes for a second but I couldn`t hold it so I started walking away to him.

I finished my classes and I totally forgot Kate. It will be hard for me to find her because it`s crowded in the hallway. The students are walking towards a direction, seems like there`s a commotion.

I started walking with these students when we reached the Science Rooms Hallway. I saw two boys throwing punches to each other. As I heard from the girls beside me, they`re Yohan and Flavio.

Flavio is taller and more muscular than the other boy. Definitely Flavio will win that fight.

I turned away and when I started walking away from the commotion. I have no interest in watching sparrings or any type of fight. But before I made my way out of the commotion, I heard loud gasps and dozens of 'omygad'. When I tried to look at what happened, I saw Flavio laying down facing the ground and not moving.

Everyone was alarmed and my eyes grew wider when I saw the blood coming out his head. My body started to feel itchy and hot. I tried to look away but it looked like they were magnetized to Flavio blood.

I coudn`t hear anything. It felt like I was alone with Flavio`s blood. I felt my gums bleeding because my fangs started growing. And all I can think is I want to suck all those blood in the floor.

Everything started to get blurred. I saw medical team carried his body before everything went black.
