chapter 4: new identification

While the fight was getting heat up. Reno was happily killing every people with his bow.

But he never killing someone in a lower rank, but rather. he shot several high ranking people as the two sides was getting chaotic without their command.

Moreover, the two actual leader was facing each other with looking for their men. Giving him a good opportunity to kill without noticing.

For a fps gamer like him. He felt pity to this people as the two leaders only fight each other.

As he killed the last person, a notification pops out.

Upon leaping from another branch. He sneakily tried to look inside the cart with they are in the middle of the fight.

This makes him to be surprised as it felt a tiny needle was poking his finger. As he tried to not to scream in pain. The pain finally stops as the stone of this ring change in red.

'what the hell was that? Did I just get a curse ring?'

As he wonders why, he decided to leave it be as he sneakily get out from the fight after stealing some stuff.

When Reno finally leave the battle. Everyone didn't notice that inside the carriage. The eyes suddenly glow. As it's mechanic voice ring out.

As he finally left the forest with a new look. Many people look at him for a bit and then continue to what they are doing.

Right now, Reno was wearing the black coat long sleeve and his hair was shorter than his previous hair.

Many people look at this new comer not because his beautiful face but rather, his distinctive ears in his head.

Although they are curious who is he. Many people didn't want to know since this place was a lawless city.

As Reno walk to the city. He then saw something interest to him.

"A mercenary building?"

Upon entering the run down building. He can see that many of people was looking at him with hostility, by he ignores it as he look at the board.

"Hmm.... Assassinate the merchant son, call of war, smuggling protection. This quest board was good at offering rewards."

As Reno was still reading the quest. A guy who has eye patch spoke.

"Hohoho, what do we have here. "

Looking at the man with a group of people in his back. Reno when back at the board as the man continued.

"Hey am talking to you!"

As he grumbling of Reno. Reno look at him again and ask.

"What do you want?"

As Reno look at him with cold eyes. His inner self isn't.

'dammit what is this guy want for me? Does my bluff didn't work?'

Upon questioning himself. The guy ask.

"Hohoho, you have some guts kid. By the way. Names Theodore. My friends called me theo."

"Okay theo, now what do you want?"

As Reno ask in sarcastic. The people in Theo's group frown but Theo who looking at him with a smile spoke.

"Boy, I know that you are new here and you probably came here because you been discriminate and I understand that. I just want to talk to you in civil manner, if you know what I mean?"

As Theo looks at the other group. Many people was looking at them with caution. And even just observing him from afar.

This makes Reno to frown a bit but he never revealed it.

As Reno agreed. Both of them sit in the empty table ask.

"Boy what your name."

"Reno."

"Reno? That's a funny name."

As he chuckled a bit. He then ask.

"Okay Reno, I have a question for you. Would you like to join my mercenary group?"

Upon asking Reno, the members of his mercenary group was surprised but they didn't speak out.

Reno notice their reaction as the people are looking at him. Especially that woman who has a goggles in her forehead.

Reno have guess that this woman must be his dearest friend as he remain calm.

But in reality, Reno was in the panic.

He never expected that he will get a opportunity like this. But on the same time he was suspicious of this group too.

"Hmm... Can you tell me why you want to recruit me? Am not so special to anybody here."

"Special? Hahaha. You might think you not so special but I know you are special especially that weapon in you shoulder."

"Shoulder? You mean this?"

As Reno look at the weapon that looks like a musket. Theo continued.

"Yeah, that weapon was no ordinary especially that rune marking. In fact am impressed that you can handle such large caliber of power."

When Reno heard him. He became surprised as he never expecting that the weapon he took was powerful.

But he have some doubts. The reason of this was because earlier before going inside. He watch on how the enemy group reload the weapon.

It suck the mana in the magic stone to fired a mana bullet.

When Theo say it was a powerful weapon, he has a hunch that it can continue to suck out the mana stone to the limit since he doesn't do that yet.

What Reno didn't know was Theo was eyeing the ring in his finger.

It's true that Reno's weapon was powerful, but the reason why he need Reno was the ring that controls the strong weapon.

As Reno think of this, he then decided to say.

"Okay, I'll join your group but not right now. I need to find a place to stay in this wicked city."

When leng told him. Toto became surprised but he remains calm as leng continued.

"The mountain beast was successfully defended the goods, but the problem was some of items that going to delivered was missing.

What's more, this items was just ordinary clothes but the problem was the key was missing."

"The key? You mean."

"Yes "

Out of anger, leng punch the wall as he gave a nasty aura and said in authority tone.

"Toto, captured the red eye snake leader alive and bring him here."
