chapter 19: unknown enemy

As Reno left the building. He immediately when to the back alley and make turns.

Most of the people who saw him didn't bother to stop him because of the bloodstains he have in this clothes.

Moreover, some local thugs tried there luck but right now, Reno doesn't have much time and killed anyone who block his way.

Most of this thugs was just a pawn and Reno doesn't have any trouble killing them.

In the downtown of the city, Reno keep looking around the commercial market.

According to trigon, the downtown was near the commercial market was the first list to be attacked.

Moreover, most of the people here are ordering citizens and it doesn't look like restricted in law.

The proof of that was it almost no guards that patrol the area.

The reason was most of the street are pack with people and it's hardly move. So the guards didn't bother on patrolling the area.

As Reno look at any suspicious person. He saw a potential lead.

A man with a sharp eyes was keep looking at the street. Most people think he was here to guarded the store. But, Reno who has been in commercial field knew what's the difference between the good person and a bad person.

After the man change his shift to the next person. Reno decided to follow him.

Soon enough, his suspicious was correct.

The man who walk around the area suddenly chance route and when straight to the back of the building.

Reno saw a few people who look like a thugs but Reno can tell that they are not thugs.

Most thugs that he met was group into three people or more, but this people was well build and the scars in there bodies doesn't look like a wounds in street fight.

As the man entered the building, Reno took a fair of throwing knives and killed two of them.

Reno quickly hide the bodies of the two as he silently sneaks inside.

What he saw was dozens of military equipment including magic weapons.

Moreover, he can see that some of the explosive are made in alchemy magic.

Reno can tell that with this kind of weapons and equipment. They can destroyed the city today.

Reno who look at the lineup weapons only sigh.

"Damn they are way good equipment that mine."

Are Reno's grim, he then took a few weapons like flint looking pistol and also took another rifle.

Unlike his bolt action rifle which bound with fire orb.

Reno took a sniper rifle on which the same as his weapons.

The reason he do this was just for a prize of his hardwork.

Of course he really wants to take some of the good looking weapons but he doesn't want to be greedy and took a few explosive and plant them.

After he done so, he then search where the man go, in fact. Every since he came. None of the people was inside including the guards.

As he wonders around. He then saw the basement door open.

Moreover, he didn't expected that there is a hidden door on the floor and sneakily went inside.

From then on, what he saw inside was dozens of people are lining up.

He can see that several people who look have serious on their faces are listening to the guy in front of them.

There are over 100 people inside and most of them are covered in full body armor.

Luckily nobody saw him but his face so serious that he didn't even have time to say anything.

At Reno's question, he then finally got answer he got.

Using the explosive he stole from trigon and the explosive in the base.

He decided to make a biggest explosive he come up with.

Looking at the countdown, he only has 10 minutes left to finish the job.

As soon as he got out the building. He then when to far away rooftop and use the sniper rifle that he stole.

Reno never thought that he will use it now but he didn't hate it and pointed it to the window.

As Reno took a deep breath. He then pull the trigger making a loud noise causing many people to notice him but it's already too late.

The whole building was disintegrated causing many to scream in panic. Lucky Reno covered himself with a mask made of cloth that nobody knows his identity and then a notification pops out.

As the man stood up, Reno didn't made a move as he watch the man's movement.

He didn't know who is he but he can tell his a lot stronger than Reno.

"Who send you? And how did you know about the coup?"

At the man's question, Reno can tell that this man must be probably part of the rebels, but Reno didn't answer him.

The man became frown in Reno's silent gaze but he then said.

"Oh? You don't want to talk? Then let's see if you could speak after I've torture you?!"

At the man's threat. Reno quickly thrown his knife at the unidentified person as he quickly dodge the sword.

This makes Reno to frown while the man in front of him became disappointed.

"To think that your throwing skill was this low, am impress how you still alive this far."

As soon as he finished speak. The man suddenly vanished causing Reno to be surprised.

He never expected that this person suddenly vanished, but then Reno suddenly felt a chill down his spine as he block the sword using his rifle.

As Reno was pin down to the ground. Reno and the mysterious man lock eyes to each other.

Reno never expecting that he will be attacked in the back. But then Reno saw the man lift his right hand as it's fist suddenly covered in flames.

"Die!"

As his fist was coming towards his face. Reno dodge the powerful punch and it landed next to his head.

Upon successfully dodge it. Reno drew his pistol and pointed it to the man's stomach.

Reno shot the man three times causing him to vomit blood but since his face was covered. Reno only saw the blood stains in his mask.

But suddenly, the roof finally gave in and both of them fall to the ground.

Because of the weight of the two of them. The both landed in kitchen of the restaurant.

This makes Reno to take this chance and quickly escape on his grasp. When he saw Reno escape.

The man gritted his teeth as he covered his wound with his hand.

This makes everyone in the kitchen to be surprised. Making everyone to be panic and escape.

Reno and the man lock each others face and both of them drew there weapons then point it each other.

Unlike Reno who took the sniper rifle in the floor. The mysterious man took the new weapon in his storage and pointed it to Reno.

What the man got from his storage was a small wand. This makes Reno to surprised a little and said.

"So you're a combat mage."

Combat mage are mages that use vicious weapon. Unlike aura masters. Combat mages use magic to increase their firepower and even trained with different melee combat.

In the kingdom, there are few people that learn magic since most of the people was affiliated with mechanic, but Reno knew that the kingdom doesn't have combat mage.

He have hunch that this man was either a mercenary or came from the different country.

"Now tell me who are you."

This time, Reno ask the man while pointing his rifle at him. This makes the mysterious man to smile while covered himself with a mask and said.

Without warning, the tip of the wand suddenly materialize a water faster causing Reno to be thrown outside.

He landed then landed to the other side of the street market and Reno who became furious look at his scope at the direction where the man was located.

But, this time. Reno no longer saw him causing him to gritted his teeth. As Reno though he escape.

The man suddenly said.

"We will meet again but until then. Take my farewell gift. Magma shot!"

Reno who heard him. Quickly dodge the incoming ball of magma causing it to splattered in the street.

Since the ball of magma was the size of a basketball. The splattere made a large fire causing Reno to gritted his teeth.

As look at the unknown enemy, he already left as the guards has coming towards the market.

Reno didn't think of anything and just left the seen.
