The tea party

"Welcome," Athena welcomed the ladies as they entered the royal garden. She had planned the tea party so carefully, that she made sure that all ladies would be welcomed by maids to dismiss rumours about favouritism that might occur, but she made sure that she would be waiting for all of them at the table to greet them all

"Empress Athena" the ladies greeted as they bowed their heads in respect

"Please sit" Athena said as she sat down first and the other ladies sat down after her

"Thank you for inviting us here empress, this truly is a beautiful place," Duchess Harper Lily said as she looked at Athena who smiled at her

"No thank you all for coming, I hope you all have fun" Athena said as she smiled at them

"Oh aren't you such a doll, look at you trying so hard to please everyone, but Empress not even the most cunning witches can conceal the truth about your humble upbringing," Lady Ava Elizabeth said and looked at Athena with a cunning smile. She basically told her that no matter what, she could never hide her poorly upbringing in a "nice" way

"What a lovely thing to say lady Eva, but even with my humble upbringing still managed to be your empress" Athena said and giggled a little lightening up the mood. Eva hated her, she hated her because she was supposed to be empress if Deimos came to the North without a wife, who knew he would find one and marry her there?

"You're right lady, Eva, even though we all heard about the Empress's upbringing, that upbringing cannot conceal the radiance of her inner beauty and the beauty outside, our empress is such a gem, so for the sake of peace I suggest that you respect the Empress" Duchess Isabella Grace said as she stared at Eva. She was Athena's target, the humble lady who belonged to the family that had been loyal to the past Empress, the Grace family had a lot of power and Athena wanted that power to be on her side. She was going to befriend Duchess Isabella Grace

"Let's enjoy the tear, my husband personally had it transported from the South for our tear part" Athena said trying to seem like one who didn't enjoy fights

"This is so tasty, it's like no other tea" Mia Victoria said as she drank the tea.

The other ladies took a sip and they all agreed except for Eva of course

"This is rich in flavour," Isabella said as she smiled at Athena. She liked her, she was cunning and she liked cunning people, but most importantly, she was very cute

"I'm glad you're enjoying it," Athena said and smiled at her

"Can you tell us a bit about the West Empress" Lady Harper Lily suggested

"Of course, it's a very beautiful place, it's rich in history and culture, it had its bad sides, but it really is a beautiful place, no wonder my mother loved it," Athena said and without releasing it she smiled thinking about her mother

"Then she must have been happy to get to die at the place she loved," Eva said and all the ladies gasped at her remark, that was too far, every lady in every kingdom knew about the death of Athena's mother and how painful her death was and there she was making it seem it as if it was her choice

"I can ignore everything about me and my upbringing, but lady Eva should you speak ill of my mother, be prepared to face dire consequences" Athena said

"Empress, I assure you, I meant no ill towards your mother, I would never disrespect your mother or any lady of your esteem" Eva said looking shocked at Athena's statement

"I truly hope so because if you cross that line, you will find out how serious I am about protecting my mother's honour" Athena said as she looked at Eva

'How dare she look at me with those eyes' Eva said to herself as Athena stared at her. Her eyes looked as if they were trying to linger in her soul. She looked ready to kill

After that, the tea party went a little smoother as the ladies spoke about relationships and family. Athena and Isabella were getting along very well, they are going to be best of friends

The first-ever lady to get to rule the household instead of her brother and the lady who was willing to kill just to get what she wanted
