"What if you decide to marry another one day?" Athena asked

"You are not getting what I'm saying, Princess, there is no one that I want other than you," Deimos said looking at her

"Then my answer is yes, I will marry you Emporer Deimos," Athena said and smiled at him

"Thank you very much" he said and hugged her as if he had been holding himself back from doing so

Athena hugged him back, it had been a long since she felt his hug, she missed his embrace and this time she was never going to let go of it

"Sorry," Deimos said and let go of her

"It is okay" Athena said and smiled at him

"There is one thing you should know about me though" Deimos said and Athena already knew what it was

"You will need my blood, my touch to control yourself once we marry, I know," Athena said

"How and you're still willing to marry me?" Deimos asked

"There are many ways to find out things, through dreams, through the Goddess, rumours or perhaps all. I am still willing to marry you for I still see you as human. Nothing has changed" Athena said and smiled at him

"Thank you princess" Deimos said to her

"Call me Athena," she said

"Then thank you Athena" he said and smiled at her

"You are very welcome Deimos," Athena said

"I will tell the Emperor that you are the one I choose to marry at the ball," Deimos said

"And I will be waiting to walk to you" Athena said

"May we have a happy marriage" Deimos said

Soon they started eating dessert and talking about the staff at Deimos Palace

"Could I ask you something Princess" Deimos said

"Of course, what is it that you wish to know?" Athena asked

"Why did you break off your engagement with Earl George, don't get me wrong, I am pleased that you did, I am just curious, it is known that you have loved him since you were, but a little child" Deimos said

"Well love fades away, especially when you find out that your sister and fiancé have been sleeping together, I might have been a love-sick fool, but I am no idiot" Athena said and smiled

"Pardon me for saying this, but you do not look a bit sad about this at all," Deimos said

"That's because even if the Earl had not cheated on me, my love would have died, my fate is to be your wife is it not?" Athena asked

The day had been long and after a few hours Deimos escorted Athena home with his carriage

"See you at the ball princess" Deimos said and kissed her hand

"See you Deimos," Athena said and got out

"Athena!" Deimos called out when she was about to enter the gate

"Yes, your Majesty?" Athena answered

"Sleep well" Deimos said making Athena smile

"You too Deimos!" She shouted and continued to walk on

Only when Athena had gotten further away from him Deimos decided to get inside his carriage and left
