My decision

"Presenting Duke Duke William Abato and his family" the announcer announced when Duke William, his wife Duchess Christine and their children: Chloe, Chelsea, Charlotte, Michael and Mason walked in. The family walked gracefully inside the ball as all eyes were on them 

"The Abato family surely is blessed" one nobble lady said making the others agree

"It would have been perfect if the seventh princess died like the rest of her mother's kids" another lady added and like a choir they all agreed, that was how the noble life was like, what mattered the most was the money you had, the people you knew and the way you looked, it was the same thing over and over again and there was no way of knowing if that was going to change 

"I cannot wait for you to become empress my dear daughter" Christine said to Chloe as she brushed her hair with her fingers 

"What if I become a princess mother?" Chelsea asked 

"Then I will be pleased as well, I just know my daughters will be great in the future and they will do wonderful things," Christine said and patted her daughter's head 

People were talking and getting to know each other, it seemed as if all was perfect until that one announcement was made 

"Presenting Princess Athena Rosa and Emperor Deimos Perez Santiago" the announcer said and as if they were all being commanded by some special force, everyone went quiet, so quiet that if a pin dropped, one would hear it 

"Seems like everyone is enjoying my party," Deimos said loudly so everyone could hear it

"I mean it is a party after all is it not your majesty?" Athena asked and smiled 

"I thought we spoke of not calling me 'your majesty' or do you perhaps want me to dismiss my title for you to call me Deimos?" Deimos said as he held her hand

"I would never wish for such a thing, I am just showing you some respect," Athena said and smiled at Deimos 

"There we go again with the formal talk, you are my wife-to-be, what's with the formal talk are you perhaps shy because of all these people around us?" 

"If I said yes, will you kill them all for me " Athena asked Deimos

"For you, I would kill Zeus himself," Deimos said and kissed her forehead 

All eyes were on them, and everyone was surprised, it was as if aliens had entered the ballroom

"Emperor Deimos" Athena's Uncle the King of her kingdom called out happily as he walked to Deimos

"King Josh, good to see you," Deimos said

"I see you have taken an interest in my niece, if you like you could take her as a mistress, I am sure that whichever woman you choose as your wife will understand," The king said and smiled 

"The woman I plan to take as my wife is Athena, King Josh," Deimos said

"What!!?" Chloe shouted in shock when she heard that statement 

"I said that from this day onwards Athena is mine and she and I shall marry after two days," Deimos said loud enough that everyone could hear 

Many wanted to oppose his decision, but they were not ready to lose their lives
