Mother’s Rose Garden

"Deimos, Deimos!!" Athena woke up screaming. She had tears all over her face and she felt as if she couldn't breathe

"Why do you wanna see me suffer so badly" she asked herself and tears started falling

"If you didn't want to be with me, you could have said so, you could have killed me for good, why did you have to bring me where I can see his face, does my suffering make you happy Goddess, why did I have to leave him once again and why do I always fall for him!?" she screamed as she cried, all she could feel in the heart was pain and hate.

Pain for losing her beloved husband and hate towards the Gods and Goddesses who always made her suffer

After a few hours of crying, she finally stopped and ended up sleeping, but the hole in her heart was still there and it was not going to fade away because of a few tears, even she knew that.

"Good morning Sophia" Athena greeted when Sophia got into her room

She had bathed herself and gotten ready to go out for a walk

"You have been crying again," Sophia said

"Just sad dreams, that is all, shall we go visit my mother's Rose garden?" Athena asked

"You have to eat first Princess" Sophia said

"I will eat later, I'm afraid that I might get food on this beautiful dress, it has been a while since I have worn a dress," Athena said and smiled at Sophia

"Your smile always affects me, since today is the day you got engaged, I will let it slide, let's go," Sophia said

"Then we shall," Athena said and they started walking out, they walked past many servants who ignored them as usual and when she reached the building her mother lived in, she felt like crying once more. It looked very old and untaken care of

"Mother would be so disappointed," Athena said and walked on

She started to walk closer to the garden and with each step she took, she felt closer to her mother, she felt as if the garden was surrounded by the spirit of her mother

"Leave me Sophia" Athena said and being understanding Sophia went out of the garden to give her space

She walked around the garden until she reached a swing her mother had ordered the gardeners to make for them when she was younger. She looked at it and then sat on the one her mother used to sit on

"Oh Mother how much I miss you, I would have been so much happier if I had come back earlier when you were still alive, but I know that you are always with me. I came to tell you that I am to marry Emporer Deimos soon, he is the man I have loved all of my life, but he does not remember, my Deimos came to me in a dream and told me that he was stored in his memory, do you think it is true? At times like this, it makes me wonder why you chose father when you could have had anyone you wanted, someone you love and someone who would have never cheated on you" Athena said and without realising it, tears were falling out of her eyes

"Seems like I am a crybaby today, I miss you Mother and I will see you soon. Rest in peace" she said and stood up. As she was walking a wind came wooshing and that made her smile more than anyone had, it was as if her mother was telling her that she was listening to every word she had spoken, which quite made her happy, guy somewhat sad
