Hand in Marriage

"Princess, I love you," George said out of nowhere

"Pardon?" Athena said

"I love you Princess and I want to be with you, marry me and we will get away from everyone, live somewhere else and you will give birth to 4 sons and daughters for me, we will be a happy family," he said to her

"You have to be joking, are you perhaps drunk " she asked with her fakest smile.

"I am not joking princess, I have thought about it, and I have been unfair towards you, we never spent any time together and I regret that, I was never one to show affection, but that will change soon, let us push our wedding forward please," he said and held her hand.

"Like I said lord, I wish to break off our engagement, I can see that you are not ready to think straight, once you stop thinking like a di… like a love-sick man, I shall hear your logical answer, I shall take my leave, good day," she said and left the young man sitting on his own.

Athena felt like beating George, killing him one might say, but she had to hold back her will to do so due to her reputation

"Princess" someone called and Athena looked behind her to see Deimos who stood there whilst wearing all black as if he were a spy

"Deimos.., I mean Emporer Deimos" she corrected herself

"Deimos is fine, as long as it is you calling it," Deimos said and smiled

"What is it that you want Emporer Deimos?" Athena asked

"It's Deimos, call me Deimos and I will answer," he said

" You really are something Emporer Deimos," she said

"So are you Princess Abato," Deimos said

"It is Rosa" Athena corrected him

"I know, but I seem to enjoy calling you Princess Abato, the same way you enjoy calling me Emporer Deimos," he said

"Okay Deimos, what is it that you want?" She asked

"There we go, how about we go somewhere private to talk about such matters Princess Rosa" he said

"Lead the way Deimos" Athena said and so they started walking

They both walked in silence until they got inside a cafe that had no one inside of it

Deimos pulled the chair for Athena to sit and sat next to her

"Seems like you already planned to bring me here" Athena said looking at the beautiful cafe

"You are correct, I would like to formally ask for your hand in marriage," Deimos said to Athena who stared at him blankly

"Are you not engaged to my sister?" Athena asked

"No, I am not, I am to choose whoever I would like to marry" Deimos said

"Then why ask for a hand in marriage when you can demand one from me?" Athena asked

"That is simply because I wish to respect the princess" Deimos said

"And if I say no?" Athena asked

"Then I shall pretend to let you be, go home and send someone to kill you," Deimos said to her and smiled

"Why not choose another bride?" Athena asked

"Because what I want is you and no one else" he said looking at her

"You sure have a way with your words Deimos", Athena said and smiled

"I try", he said

"Let's say I marry you, what will I gain out of this marriage?" Athena asked

"You get to come to the North with me and rule over it, you get power", Deimos said

"And if I wish to use that power to kill my father, will I be able to?" She asked, which surprised Deimos, but made him more curious

"You can and I as your husband will support you without any questions asked", Deimos said

"And what will be my wifely duties?" She asked

"Love me, let me love you, never leave me, interact with me, be happy and let me rely upon you, that is all I ask for" Deimos said which left Athena speechless
