A sister

In the South 

"Nikias, Nikias where is that boy?" A lady called as she searched around a very huge garden filled with many different types of roses 

"Mother" the boy called out with a smile 

"Nikias, there you are, what are you doing here?" the woman asked her son 

"Being here makes me feel closer to them, she loved roses" Nikias said smiling 

"I know what you mean, your father and all of us really miss them both, you should treat your sister well when you get to the North Nikias, Athena is precious" Nikias' mother said to her son, oh how dearly she wished she could see Athena just once, she must have looked so much like her mother by now, her mother who was Nikias' mother's bestest friend and her husband's twin sister 

"I'll treat her well" Nikias said and smiled at his mother, he knew how much she loved Athena and most always said that the only reason she fell for his father was because he resembled her bestest friend. 

Nikias never met his sister, but he always grew up being told that she was his sister and not his cousin, he heard about how she looked and how her mother looked, Athena was the talk of the family every single day, she was loved and praised by everyone in the Rosa family, not because she was the only girl, but because she was a Rosa 

"I'll head back inside, you should get a good night's sleep, you'll be travelling a long distance tomorrow" Eleni, Nikias' mother said and patted her son's back and left with a smile 

Nikias just stood there as he felt the wind brush past him, the air smelled so sweet and pure, he loved how the Rose garden smelt, it always smelt like peace, it was unlike any other smell in the South, it was as if Tanith was living there smiling at all of them day and night, sunny or cloudy if only he got the chance to meet her, he would have made her proud, now the best thing he could was love and protect Athena, his little sister, the angel of the Rosa family, their Hecate 

He loved how they called her Hecate, but she was the descendant of Athena and therefore she was named Athena 

"Nikias" he heard someone call and when he looked back it was Ajax, one of his friends, someone close to the family 

"What are you doing here?" Nikias asked as Ajax sat down next to him 

"Just looking for the little prince, what are doing here, in this beautiful garden?" Ajex asked it was the first time he had seen the garden 

"Just thinking," Nikias said

"Heard you're going to the West, why ?" Ajex asked 

"You know Ajex, I had a little sister.., her name was Thena" Nikias said sadly and also somewhat happy 

"You had a sister?" Ajex asked confused, he didn't know he had a little sister 

"She died when her mother died and now I have a sister named Athena Rosa who I am going to see at the West" Nikias said 

"So your father's twin sister's daughter?" He asked and Nikias nodded 

"I've heard lots about her, like how she got married to the Emporer and now she's the Empress of the North, but the most famous news about her is how the Emporer cried at his wedding when he saw her showcasing his love for her," Ajex said to Nikias who knew all of that, there was a lot he knew about his sister, he knew her more than anyone, except for herself and sadly her husband 

He couldn't wait to meet both of them
