Mi Gu stared at the reddish sky as if someone had painted it in blood. The gray clouds highlighting the saddened song of the nightingale reminded him of the time of his glory. The cell he was in was small and dirty, but it made him unhappy. Mei Yang was probably dead and discovered too late, who she was.
- Mei Yang is a goddess ... -
Mi Gu looked at the blood that still shone on his hands. The blood of a goddess could finally bring the master back to life and restore the life of his clan. Mi Gu pondered for a moment what he should do and kept Mei Yang's blood from the glass bottle.
Before leaving, he looked around and analyzed if there was any human soul outside the cell and if there was no one, he simply disappeared like smoke in the cold night and adopted his immortal form walking through the bodies thrown by the courtyards of the main palace.
Amon had done damage, but none of that mattered anymore, now he had the blood of a goddess and he no longer needed to hide among mortals like a cursed shadow. All the years that she had been, hiding among the humans waiting for the right moment for his return had finally arrived.
Mi Gu finally reached the border of Naran and Naki and saw the river that divided the two kingdoms. The water partially frozen by the snow showed the winter that had not yet left the mortal world. The reddish sky already announced that something was going to happen in that world and the strong presence in the air brought its master back with him.
- Bai Wang - Mi Gu finally felt joy at being called by his original name. He stared at the distorted figure of the bald, scrawny man in front of him; it looked like an old rag without the old strength he knew. Really, the mortal realm was not good for demons. Looking at that figure was negligible; Bai Wan felt the burden that the demons carried for millennia.
Bai Wang took a deep breath and faced the landscape in front of him. Soon they would be back home; it was a matter of time.
- And the mission I gave you? - Bai Wang held the bottle in his hands and sighed happily.
- I haven't found the master's body yet. It's a matter of time ...
Before he could finish his sentence, the ragged man felt his body being hurled towards the lake. His body received strong blue rays that reached his vital points causing him to spit blood through every pore of his body. He had already overheard the demons talking about the blue rays of the general who once led the war fronts that served the former demon lord before the fall of the entire clan. But, now that he felt his power directly, he realized that no report came close to reality. The rays were terribly painful.
- It's useless! - Bai Wang raged in disappointment. - Not even to find a clue during these hundreds of thousands of years your soul is worth.
- I could not ... Master ... - The man did not finish speaking, a second ray passed his body this time making him cry out in pain and agony. That spiritual power penetrated like needles boiling in the vital points of the body, sucking the Qi that was there.
- I do not need a worthless servant! - Bai Wang tightened the rays even more, watching the man's life drain before his eyes. When he saw that the body was just old bones ready to dissipate in the wind, he withdrew his ray and brought with him the Qi of his servant who was now dead. When the last drop of Qi penetrated his body, he felt refreshed.
A few seconds passed until he felt a peace again reach the cold night. Bai Wan held the bottle in his hands and opened the cork that covered the contents. The blood still shone as if a light illuminated every drop.
Mei Yang was not an ordinary goddess, surely she should belong to the great echelons of heaven and probably now she should be back home. It was too late to put any plans now involving her body, but the blood was enough.
Bai Wan pulled the dagger from his belt attached to his waist and made a small cut on his hands and dripped a few drops into the bottle mixing his blood with that of the goddess. The reddish color soon became a purplish tone, until at last it became a black color like the night. He reached out and threw the contents at the open wound. At the same moment her life's pain leaving her body tore, the blood that penetrated her veins was so powerful that he almost felt he would not live. Bai Wan felt his legs weaken and fell without feeling her body, only his blood bubbled up like an erupting volcano. As soon as everything reached its primordial energy, he managed to control the magic that contorted himself with the maximum concentration.
After a few minutes, the pain that was cutting through his veins was gone and his body was much stronger. His primal energy had contained Mei Yang's blood, his eyes shone an intense color and soon after, he could feel her energy running through his body.
- What kind of magic does she have? - Bai Wan drew his sword and felt his rays come out differently, what was blue became black and more intense. Now it was just necessary to go to the terrestrial abyss to free his clan.
However, before he had something to do...
His eyes had not yet gotten used to the pitch of the place, but he was back home. Everything was rubble, and the rotting of fallen souls, without a new chance of life, roamed the place, raising a darker aura than he remembered. Some tried to get hold of his body so they could get out of that place. It was one of the ways to take over human bodies, in order to connect with the mortal world and suck up the maximum energy. He had never done that, but he had seen it before and it was practical and grotesque. It was pitiful to see those figures looking for a return to the world of the living, but Bai Wan, who had already lost patience with so many souls, just drew his sword, and with a simple movement cut some that surrounded him.
Her Home had once been a pleasant and cheerful home, but now she only remembered the horror of the deaths of all demons.
Bai Wan crossed the place observing the apparent abandonment, the waters were blackened and a black smoke rose to the skies forming clouds of a morbid and putrid aspect.
Then, the demon stamped its feet on the ground forming a small black circle where it stepped, some symbols formed. Bai Wan opened the bottle and threw the blood just waiting for the reaction. Soon other souls who had been trying to catch him again moved away in fear when they saw the light emanating from the small circle. It was blinding, beautiful and terrifying.
After all, who was Mei Yang? She should not be an ordinary goddess. Only the highest celestial level had this pure blood capable of awakening the underworld.
Then the light dimmed, opening a door in front of him that had been locked by the heavenly Emperor in the last war. Bai Wan had to be quick, as he knew that there must be many traps created by the celestials in case of invasion. Putting his sword away, he rose and floated to the entrance to the door, inside it was exactly as he remembered. The hall of demonic light was still the same without any changes or even the wine glasses that were on the small tables during the last banquet. The demonic kingdom has been untouched for millennia.
Then, a small memory filled him, when the demon lord summoned all the demons to a banquet before attempting to invade the celestial kingdom and take the world for himself. He knew at the time that this plan of possession would be flawed, but he was only a faithful servant who served in the front ranks of the demonic army.
Who would have thought, that all celestials would be prepared for the attack. And not only that, on the same night the entire phantom clan that was so prestigious in the skies had been decimated and the demons that were unprepared for war were annihilated and the rest trapped in the terrestrial abyss along with the founder of the demonic clan.
Bai Wan thought about that day with great anguish and went through the huge door watching the purple crystals that adorned the pilasters, the throne of jade stones fused in the fire of Qiong Qi. The smooth, black floor even reflected his image clearly. Everything seemed empty and deplorable.
Bai Wan stopped for a few seconds when he saw the black light that shone inside a large glass wall that was not there. The wall separated the throne room and the rest of the place inside the demonic palace. That light was obvious. Bai Wan smiled when he saw that the demon Lord whom he had served for so many millennia was still in that world.
- If it were not for your weakness, the demonic clan would still be strong. But, look at our situation ... I don't know where my brothers are and most of us live like vagabonds in the mortal realm, passing us off as mere humans to escape heavenly wrath. - Bai Wan smiled bitterly. His hatred for his former master had only increased over time. - His death was deserved and we demons need to get together again to restore our glory and pride ... But...
At that moment, Bai Wan broke the glass that held the spirit of the demon lord and soon a black flame rose from within the glass, spreading rapidly all over the place until rising to the heavens.
Therefore, that was the warning...
Bai Wan realized the trap of the celestials. If anyone tried to wake the demon lord, he would soon be seriously wounded by fire and the black flame rising to the heavens would alert the celestials.
He quickly stamped his feet on the ground and the black circle formed by the goddess's blood merged with his emerged and protected him from the flames like a shield. If it were not for the blood, he would now be roasted like a duck.
Mei Yang, Mei Yang ... Your blood is extraordinary.
Ban Wan ran to the black flame that shone and surrounded a small white stone and soon recognized the spiritual stone that belonged to the ghost realm. Before anyone or anything happened, he touched the stone, with a gesture kept the remains of the soul and the stone inside his robe, and finally flew away from the demonic kingdom. Before reaching the border, he saw the heavenly guards descend between the valleys to the main palace, but as it was not seen, he just smiled and left satisfied.
A new era would begin and soon the true king of demons would rise up against the people, and if it depended on him, it would happen soon.
