The End (Or Is It?)

In a Lab on Earth, 2 scientists are standing over someone in a medical bed. A heart monitor shows that the patient is healthy and a steady drip of a liquid filled with nutrients. The scientists leave the room and begin to discuss something.

"When do you think he'll wake up Dr. Alta." One scientist questions the other.

"I don't know," Dr. Alta confesses. "What I do know is that when he wakes up he will be a super soldier."

"Why?" The other scientist questions.

"Ah, I forgot that you started five days ago James. This boy may seem to be sleeping, however, we discovered a technology that allows us to send his consciousness elsewhere. So while his main body is here, his mind could be in a jungle jumping from tree to tree, or on a battlefield killing people.

"Let's just hope he doesn't wake up."

"Why?" James asked once again.

"Is 'Why?' all you can say?! Jesus. If he wakes up and realizes that we've been experimenting on him he'll kill us." Dr. Alta responds in a slightly irritated voice. "Easily, might I add, since 1 day here is 10 years there. So since it's been 20 days he has been training for 200 years."

"When is he predicted to wake up Dr.?"

"Their time? 800 years. Our time? 80 days." Alta responds as solemnly as possible.

Just then a female scientist walks in saying, "Hey it's time for lunch. The boss got everyone tacos from 'Bosque De Los Elfos', you better hurry they're running out."

"What's that even mean?" James decides to ask.

"I don't know, all I know is their food is delicious. Let's go!" Dr. Alta rushes.

Once Dr. Alta and James leave the female worker walks over to the patient and, after confirming that no one is near, pulls a device from her pocket. After typing something on a small screen on the device it scans the boy confirming her suspicions.

"I wonder, they are preparing for a demigod who has a thousand years of combat experience. How will they react to a God?" She says to herself as she walks out not noticing the flash of green lightning that runs down Myles' body. What she does notice is the message she receives on her phone saying that individuals around the world have been confirmed to awaken powers, not of this world.

~RingRing~

"Hello?" She answers her phone.

"Have you confirmed it's him?" an ominous voice pours forward from the speaker.

"Yes, I have." She replies, "Is it true you found that Sylvie girl?"

"Of course." The voice answers in a reassuring tone. "She is our ticket to getting Myles or rather Achaekek on our side when the world turns."

"Excellent, watch her and make sure nothing goes wrong." The voice finishes, hanging up.

With the ending of that call, the facility's lights go out as Alta walks out. All is quiet, but if you looked closely at Myles's face you would have noticed a smirk that wasn't there originally.
