It's a legend

once upon a time in the Liang dynasty while the Jang family reigned before the arrival of the Tang dynasty . legend says that the bestrexe forest has a very bulky tree in the centre and underneath is a stone called"the philosopher's stone".

This stone is used in making a potion which is the elixir of life and this potion is said to give immortality when drunk . The stone was hidden under the tree by Yu - tian before he died.

When the stone was discovered in a cave that opens only during a full blood moon, everyone thought it would bring prosperity to their country because the stone can be used to cure any illness and it gives immortality.

people wanted to covet the stone to themselves in other to be the most powerful. The greed for power had allowed a war to break out . When the war broke out thousands of years ago, there was a lot of casualities on every side. The whole world was thrown into chaos ,when all the powerful clans clashed against each other. This war led to the eradication of the Liang dynasty.

The Royal family wanted to keep the stone ,so the king commanded that the stone be brought to the palace. Master seol - ran ,the mage that found the stone saw the cold war brewing among the other clans and households,so he decided it was best to take the stone to the palace.

On the way the stone was stolen by masked men believed to be the black sorcerer due to the dark powers they posses .

Master seol-ran along with the seol fort challenged the black sorcerers to return the stone ,they refused and so a war broke out.

The Royal army and other clans also joined in this war. The black sorcerers managed to eliminate the Royal family, but the youngest prince managed to escape, but before they took over the palace master Seol-ran had managed to seize the stone and the golden plague .

With this plague he could give orders like the king, so he commanded that the black sorcerer may be executed on the ground of treason .

On the execution ground one of the sorcerer laid hold of a magical arrow, this arrow has poison embedded in it , it was created to kill magical beings since they tend to heal even after being stabbed in the heart. The poison in this arrow will eat up the internal organs of a person in a jiffy leading to the death of the individual, and no potion ,medicine or herbs has proven effective.

The sorcerer threw the arrow at master Seol-ran, though one of the guard immediately beheaded him but it was too late the arrow already Pierced through master Seol-ran's chest.

Yu-tian his disciple ,the one who later buried the stone ran to him immediately."master, master" he cried.seol-ran gave his last wish which was to bury the stone away where no one would find it

He gave all his power, torrent of energy and knowledge to yu-tian. He died and was buried.

Yu-tian was supposed to take over the seol fort because he was master Seol-ran's personal disciple,but because he was not a member of the family the council of elders decided that the eldest member of the family should take over and Yu-tian should assist him.

Seol-Yan being the eldest took over the seol fort,but he felt threatened by Yu-tian so he decided to kill him. Yu-tian got hold of his plot and fled after he had acquired the "philosopher's stone".

He lived in the northern part of the bestrexe forest. He took in a lot of disciples and he created the panacea called "The elixir of life", he also made anxiloytics from the stone and he taught

his disciples how to make the anxiloytics but taught no one how to prepare the elixir of life.He tried burning the book which held the method of preparing the potion,but the book could not be burnt because it was made with energy. so he decided to bury the book Alongside the stone.

when he began to grow old and his energy and powers began to diminish he gave series of instructions to his disciples and he departed leaving to find a place to bury the stone.

After few days of sojourning and wandering about the forest he decided to bury the stone in the centre of the forest and sealed it with energy.He had wanted to use the elixir of life, but decided not to tamper with destiny, as his master had taught him.

"let destiny take it's course, because our lives has been foreplanned , if we make the wrong decisions or try to fight or change our fate , we should be ready to deal with the consequences". These are the words master Seol-ran usually say to him, so he buried the stone ,the book and the elixir of life and sealed it with his energy.

A big tree had later grown up where he buried the stone.

"jin Yuan, jin Yuan you have started again, I thought mum told you to stop hiding away In a corner reading these books". meng'er Jin Yuan's elder sister shouted as she pulls the book he was reading away from his hands.

"give it back meng'er it's a very interesting book and it's a legend... I guess". Jin Yuan said.

"legend my ass " meng'er spat back at Him.

it seriously is a legend, it's about the elixir of life" Jin Yuan explained

" Elixir of life?, I think I heard that somewhere" meng'er said thoughtfully.

"Yes you did , a shaman in the capital was talking about it and it intrigued me " Jin Yuan said.

Meng'er frowned "isn't that the potion that gives immortality?" she asked

"Yes it is"

"you must be kidding me Yuan so you are digging about that don't tell me you believed all those nonsense" meng'er said shaking her head.

"of course, I do " Jin Yuan said with wide eyes.

Meng'er moved towards him and gave him a good spanking on the head.

"get up from there and go help father in the workshop instead of lazying around reading about a stupid potion" she said completely irritated.

"ouch , meng'er let me be will you, it really is a legend" Jin Yuan said pouting at her

"it's no legend,just a boring myrth " meng'er retorted

"no it's not"

"shut up your mouth and you better be gone before I return" she said before walking away

He stood up grumpily and left for their fathers workshop muttering some words under his breath.
