After all, the only single requirement to become a Saintess was to possess a peak-grade affinity with the element of a particular god.
As of now, only the Church of the God of the Sun, which possesses a Saint, enjoys the potential to become a Magus!
Magus, the highest known rank of a mage up to date.
Until now, the Empire only produced two magus, the previous Emperor and the Pontiff of the Church of the Son of God – currently unknown.
The Pontiff was absent, as the Archbishop was the one who managed the Church from his place.
Regardless, the Saintess of the Church of the Son of God, currently a Warlock, was also leading the affairs of the Church.
Hence, one could say that he was not needed unless in times of crisis.
