Chapter 20: Into The Dark
Upon entering The Dark after being taken from the store front in The Echo, Mykel barely had time to register that he had appeared alone once his surroundings changed. Instead, he froze in place and his gaze became distant as a daze took over. Whether or not this was just a reaction to a living soul entering The Dark or just an illusion was unclear. But at that moment, Mykel couldn’t tell where he was anymore. His reality faded in front of his eyes.
“Ria, I’m not sure I can do this,” Mykel stated. A look of doubt came over his features while he looked to his mentor for some sort of guidance.
There next to him stood a tall, beautiful young woman with long, silky dark hair and gentle dark eyes. Her stride over to where Mykel stood was smooth and graceful. A pair of delicate hands found their way over his own, until she held a steady grip over his. She stood with her lovely plump lips pressed just above his ear while she instructed him the way that she felt any good mentor should.
