Chapter 9

"What's going on, my Angel? Were you crying?" Pete asked worridly, but slightly teasingly as well.

Surprisingly, she nodded, admiting it. "Umu. I mwissed you."

"Hahaha" Pete laughed as he hugged his daughter slightly tighter.

Pete spent the rest of the day with Emily, and he had a lot of fun too.

Emily is very cute and he just can't get enough of it.

Though it's been 3 years since he came to know that he has a daughter, he still can't believe it. And he still worries for her, because he's already considered old and he doesn't know for how long he'll be there for her.

He quit doing things that are bad for his health like drinking and smoking, and it has starting working. He noticed that he has been more energic and he's been able to sleep better than before.

Today he's going to go into town and he's going to bring his daughter with him.

Though she's already 3 years old, she hadn't left the house yet. He thought that now that he's free from work, surprusingly, he's going to show her the outside world.

Now he was standing in front of his staircase, waiting for Emily to come down with Emma, who's going to acompany them. He's wearing a simple shirt and buttoned it up fully to support the elegant tie he's wearing. On top of the shirt he's wearing a sleek vest with 5 buttons, it has a narrow v-line, which allows for the top to remain visible even when the suit's jacket is buttoned up.

The jacket perfectly wraps around his body. It has a smooth chalk stripe pattern which gives the suit a refined look. The 3 buttons of his single breasted jacket are all buttoned up with the exception of one, a subtle touch of nonchalance which works perfectly.

The jacket is the same length all around, it has vents at either side, there's a single pocket on one side and there's a breast pocket which has been left empty.

He's wearing pants which copy the style of the jacket, both in color and pattern and they make an ideal combination with his shoes. He's wearing a chich pair of brogue oxfords.

To top it all off he's wearing a trendy belt, which can be accompanied by a scarf and a watch.

Finally the girls are coming down the stairs.

Emma was wearing her usual maid dress.

But Emily on the other hand is wearing a dress that covers her shoulders entirely and flows down into a tasteful keyhole neckline. It's a close fit which makes the dress look comfortable, yet elegant and stylish.

Her arms have been covered only halfway down. The sleeves start out loose and tighten towards the bottom where they form a perfect match with the color of her skin.

Below the waist the dress fits snug around her and has a mermaid style. The dress reaches to just below her knees and is slightly longer at the sides and back of the dress.

She's wearing cute wedges, they're simple, but radiate grace and refinement. To top it all off she's wearing a lavish necklace as well.
