I couldn't help it. I immediately used the new skill. Inspect.

Effect: Prevents 1 physical, magical or poison damage per point of mana consumed from mana stored.
Stored mana: 0/100
I quickly set about filling the amulet with mana, it took several minutes to get the hang of it. Ada was right. The gem seemed to have a resistance before I was able to actually fill it. Once it was past the resistance it was quickly sucked in. It then took several minutes to fill each gem with the appropriate mana. I was excited at the prospect of this amulet making me stronger. If I was going to be targeted with assassins this would be invaluable.
